  1. Got a mate who has fairly seriously compromised the RPA on 3 trees. One very large Cedar of Lebanon and 2 smaller Western Red looking Cedars. He was aware they had TPOs but completely unaware that the roots are protected in the same way as branches ?. He has had a 22 ton excavator in and scraped around 50mm off the entire site including all round the smaller trees and half way round the large cedar, laid a membrane then crushed concrete over the top to about 100mm. The council have (understandably) thrown the toys out the pram because of the compaction. I am really asking for advice from you guys what he could do to rectify the situation long term and if anyone has had any experience in similar situations. Thanks in advance for any help ?
  2. OK probably me being thick. Will have another look. Im sure it will all be ok in the end thanks Alf
  3. Really not that impressed at all overall Steve. Looks a lot more modern, fine, but as someone who works in UX / UI and CX for a lot of my time i can't see why you have changed so dramatically and therefore seemingly lost simple things like todays posts and a button where you can go to the first unread one - if i am being thick please tell me as otherwise you can count me out as as user any more - I used to check the site almost daily. On mobile the menu doesn't even work and it is made a weird size due to the Stihl ad at the top not being responsive which gives a rubbish feel to it. I am all for change and I see some great things like liking posts but please bring back some of the basic functionality / tell me how to do it now! I also cannot see most images and no links / videos.
  4. I use adobe premiere pro which is easy enough to use, I use it for my job so don't have to pay for it but i think you can get a free version.

  9. Why are all the pages so long with a load of white space ? Why not make the header image there a one of you actually stumpgrinding or a before and after stumpgrinding. the site should also be mobile friendly too, which it isnt.
  10. I was expecting something very different. if you had put the title as guess what wood this is made from i doubt i could have guessed!
  11. I had a mate drown in a bowl of muesli the other day. He was pulled in by a strong currant.
  12. Not work but this is scary, just near me. Dash-cam captures the moment a car narrowly avoids being hit by tree during Storm Doris - Weather - Eastern Daily Press
  13. My advice is dont do social because you can do it with a goal in mind - i.e. get 2 enquiries extra a month thru it or somthing like that. and if you are going to do it do it properly and research before jumping in and looking silly.

  22. Spray the whole drive with oil then it will be the same colour
  23. While this may be true about the meta data, humans still read it so it needs to be appropriate and make people want to click on it. Google also looks at the site structure and the h tags - for non developers it is code which tells Google something is a title. Also it uses the schema mark up to tell it what different elements of the site are such as address, phone number etc. Content like you say is important but as long as it is well formatted. Any developer worth their salt should be able to do this correctly.
  24. Fully agree, some time spent writing and publishing some posts of recent work - at least 200 words will really help your seo - do a bit of reading up on the basics and how to not spam write etc
  25. Nice site - one typo spotted at a quick glance - Checkout our page here - on home page - should be - check out our home page here
