  4. Out of interest, what will it be used for and why the specific lengths?
  5. Evening all. I need an extra pair of hands on the ground next Thursday the 24th. To help with a medium sized Beech removal. Very easy day feeding the chipper. 0800-1600. PM for contact details. We are near Amesbury
  6. Hi there. Don't know if you're comfortable with ropes etc. as the job itself will literally be five minutes, I would gain access to the roof from the other side and attach a large fabric strop to both chimney breasts (assuming they are sound). Attach a crab and small pulley to each and using these as two anchor points make your way gingerly down the roof. Replace the bracket and either go back up or decend to the ground. Return to the roof to retrieve slings etc. I would use some form of edge protection on the roof if you do go over the side. Hope this is useful.
  7. Hi all, I have been approached to supply a tree survey for a block of flats in Andover in Hampshire. If you are a consultant or know of one who would consider this location, then please inbox me. Thanks in advance.
  8. Thanks to all. Tiger tree you were quite correct in the first instance. The tree has serious decay and the leaves are much smaller and less vigorous than its neighbours either side. Before it comes down I just wanted to know what the growths were. Thanks again to all who passed comment.
  9. Thank you for the offer of bud proliferation. It's the large growths/deformations I was thinking about not the little shoot.
  10. Can anyone help with these growths on a horse chestnut tree that is doomed ?I just wanted to know what the growths were.

  12. I've just checked out your website, some lovely pictures. Are they all your own work? I could be in a position to offer you some work as I'm not far from Amesbury. PM for details.
  13. Thanks for the tip off. I'll be on the phone first thing in the morning.
  14. I wouldn't mind some of those myself. The link sends me to to where they are £118 though and not £50. Deal finished perhaps?
  15. I'll give it a whirl (no pun intended!) tomorrow. Thanks.
  16. Hi guys, Need some help please, my logging tape was jammed so i pulled it all out when it promptly snapped where it screws into the reel! At that point the spring decided to unjam and spin away, great. I stripped it down and cleaned it up and i can just about reattach the tape to the reel. How do I get it to work now? any ideas? (bin it and buy a new one?) Thanks in advance.

  19. Hope you have a swift recovery. I banged myself up a few years ago but sadly can't remember anything of the incident (serious concussion). When you recover and if you feel up to it, I'm sure everyone would would be able to learn from it. Listen to the doctors and especially the phsios they can be invaluable. Good luck
