  1. You lot are funny, especially you Mountain Man.
  2. Now there's a real answer. Thanks for taking the time to explain.
  3. Nope. I don't use srt, so was just wondering. Your answer is as clear as mud to the non srt user. Thanks anyway.
  4. I'm sure lots of people use a similar method when decending a pole in drt, except i clip a crab directly into the alpine butterfly and the running leg through the crab. My question is why bother with the pinto pulley in srt?
  5. Oh and whoever mention topping.. We used pruning points not internodal pruning. haha Hark at you with all your big words.
  6. So you topped it then!
  7. My disco legs were out, just watching that.
  8. Hedgecutting. In the rain, under powerlines, on a road, from a metal mobile scafolding platform. What could possibly go wrong?
  9. I do that with new guns/rifles. Luckily she hasn't figured out that my 10 gun cabinet is full.
  10. Love it
  11. I forget to mention she was in her sixties.
  12. I'll explain. We've all heard the jokes like, "I've got a bush that needs trimming" etc etc So when I arrived at a hedge cutting job yesterday for a new female customer and she says "I want you to smash it as hard as you can". I nearly died and found it almost an impossible job to not laugh, she clearly didn't realise what she had said. And then when I'd finished smashing the hedge as hard as I could, to top her earlier comment she said " That's exactly what I wanted, the man I had before never smashed it that hard". I laughed all the way home, the wife luckily saw the funny side too. Any one else had funny bite your tongue moments?
  13. I check every tree, honest.
  14. Sounds like it could be a knackered spark plug.
  15. Slurry firm slogan "Your number 2 is our number 1 priority"
  16. I was just about to say check out Reg Coates "Thunderstruck" speedline video on Youtube and bugger me the man himself suggested it. Its the best speedline video I've seen because of the view, simplicity and cracking tune. thanks RCO
  17. Hi there, If you've never done it before check out this attachment. If you are going to use a simple speedline without a haulback/retrieval system, it as advisable to use steel crabs as alloy ones will melt from the friction/heat. When it works it is a great labour saver, when it doesn't, it is a pain in the ass! Like anything the more you practice the better it'll be. cheers. speedline_variations_1.pdf

  19. Hi there, i'm just west of Andover in Hampshire. Would be great if you could sort me out something. where are you?
  20. Thanks for the comments guys, but I couldn't fabricate a paper plane. I'll be ordering from a dealer then.
  21. Hi all, I'm looking for a 2nd hand mesh kit for a TT105. Does anyone know of/ have one for sale? Or a non genuine manufacture? My ply boards are just not cutting the mustard any more, got to get my hand in my pocket. Any help appreciated.
  22. thanks for all the helpful advice guys.
  23. Thanks guys, I've already been in touch with a TM company. They have given me a quote which scared the life out of me, glad I'm not paying. Do they turn up and do it all for you and wait around till you've finished or do they set up and clear off and collect the stuff later? I'm on the Hampshire/Wiltshire border near Andover.
  24. Hi all, I have been asked to do a job on an A road. A car went through the hedge and took out a metal fence too. I've been asked to clear all the vegetation to allow the fencers to sort it out. I don't usually go anywhere near roads, but this is for a very good regular customer, so can't really and don't want to turn it down. I need traffic management without doubt as its a 60mph and on a long straight stretch, so they are belting along. So basically guys, what do I need to do?
  25. I've done this too. When you learn the art of extraction on the slopes in Wales then you'll be a man my son.
