  1. Must have just been the bugger I used then. Don't get me wrong, I prefer it to the Jensen's hydrostatic feed, but when it comes to controls, timberwolf design it simple so even muppets like me don't struggle.
  2. Tap once for reverse and punch twenty times for forwards more like!

    Tuning

Fully seated is wound all the way in (right), the screws are then turned anti-clockwise to richen (add more fuel) the mixture. The factory defaults can be found in the manual. You need a tachometer to fine tune the saw
  4. That would probably be a good idea
  5. Yeah, the tracked ones looked good, wouldn't mind one in black like that road tow, or maybe that 190 with the flail
  6. The sub 750's hold their price well, the build quality is the same as the larger chippers. I don't actually understand where they've saved weight, everything is bigger, the covers are metal, the working bits are all heavier (engine, flywheel, blades, rollers, etc). I can't actually see where they've made it lighter, surely spare tyres don't weigh that much? Maybe they have filled the tyres with helium?
  7. 12" 3/8lp 45dl 14" 3/8lp 52dl 13" .325 56dl 15" .325 64dl These are all for the k095 mount for huskys running 7 or 8 tooth sprockets
  8. Aren't you on holiday still? Is the sun, sea and sand not doing it for you
  9. Cheers Eddie for getting me out the crap!
  10. The forst chippers are just rebadged Jensen chippers with buttons I can't work! Seriously, the buttons don't detect anything less than a thump. The hydraulics on the tracked models are a bit sensitive too, but in a way of go or stop, you can't creep them on high revs, and the bearings on the non-driven roller on the tracks are prone to disintegrating when turning or extending/withdrawing on a vari-track
  11. Not all XP's are autotune, the 372 definitely isn't, and the 576xp is optional. And as mentioned, it's quite easily turned into a 372xp with minimal modding, it will quite happily run a 28" b&c
  12. Yes, but the m-tronic carb sales go as follows: Stihl make the carb and sell to husky, husky then fit the electrics and sell it back to Stihl. Oddly the fault is always the carb, not the electrics.

    New MS661

It'll be like a tank when ported
  14. Well, they are zama carbs... Something known for a faulty design
  15. It's going to take me hours to upload all of my tools! I'll do it after the APF
  16. You camping huck? Be good to put a face to the infamous poster
  17. Don't know mate, it's difficult to tell, that's why I use aspen in my personal equipment. The 'wrong fuel mix' is usually a cop out trick for 'I can't be arsed to fix it'. Unless you're using cheapo oil and old petrol at 50:1! But as I said, the bore looks shiny and new, the piston has a few scuffs, but that's from being used
  18. The engine looks fine to me, as does the piston
  19. Hard to tell, the auxiliary oilers used for milling are usually used in conjunction with the saw's oiler
  20. My advice, send it to someone who has the tools, it's a pita! There are c-clips, seals, if it's an older model, the bearings are different too! The whole machine has to be taken to tiny pieces to get at the inner bits!
  21. Yes, it can be ported, oddly, all the home owner models are second gen x-torq.
  22. That's a hell of a lot of modding to convert back to a saw, you'll need an oil pump fitting, including drilling the crankcase in several places. This involves splitting and the crank seal on the flywheel side is NLA in uk. Hopefully it has the bar nuts, so you can fit just a clutch. Then there's the handle assembly, as you'll need the whole top of the saw.
  23. 020/200t yes, quite a power gain. The 076 is a bit different, due to the carb. It was built and designed when there were no emissions laws and has a fairly free flowing muffler and due to the welding, you could only add one extra slit either side of the existing ones. Back to the carb, the carb is fitted with a limiter, which kicks in as the saw reaches around 10k rpm, making it quite difficult to tune. The limiter can kick in when the saw is free-revving, but cause the saw to be lean when under load. Secondly, I don't know what you seek to gain with the 076, it has more torque than an 880 if I recall correctly, and will pull the same bars and bigger.
  24. How much LSD do you get with a cabstar? Need to take an awfully large amount to make it seem good!
  25. It probably has 2 different seals as it probably had a different crank or bearings at some point
