  3. Done a fair bit of fencing since I started out, and I have to say an auger is almost essential! Saves so much time!! Had to do 50m a while back, in sure it would have taken twice as long without the auger! How is the stihl? I may invest in one. ( would match the rest of my gear too ) Sent using Arbtalk Mobile App
  4. Just a small one, but avoid all caffeine! Coca cola, tea and coffee etc Sent using Arbtalk Mobile App

  9. Great bit off footage silky, looking forward to the next instalment Sent using Arbtalk Mobile App
  10. I've never climbed or ascended on srt. I've always climbed drt, big assents use a drt line and a long Prussic to footlock. For chogging down I usually choke my multisaver round the stem, unless its not long enough. I love my ms because I can install it from the ground if I need too. I have made two lanyards now, first was a 3m marlow with ISC pulley and stein eye to eye. New one is XTC fire, oceana eye to eye and a DMM pulley. Only annoying thing is, the stopper knot gets caught in tight crotches. I would really like one of the treemagineers lanyards Sent using Arbtalk Mobile App
  11. Awesome! Looks like you have been experimenting with a few lanyards? Which do you prefer out of you pulley saver and your multisaver? Been thinking about replacing the small sliding ring on my multisaver with a pinto? Sent using Arbtalk Mobile App
  12. ok so, have enlisted the help of one of the chaps on here who can splice to start designing/constructing a pulley saver And i think all of us have had cold soggy tackle allot recently my rope has taken up semi permanent residence in the airing cupboard
  13. Awesome, if I see you guys about ill pop over and introduce myself Sent using Arbtalk Mobile App
  14. I see! I normally use the mini D rings that attach the bridge to the harness? Sent using Arbtalk Mobile App
  15. Awesome Yeah I think your right there..... Really bored of this weather now, it's starting to affect work. Spring has to break through soon! Sent using Arbtalk Mobile App
  16. Hey Lyons! Hope your going well dude Yeah..... I keep getting told "take some of that cr*p off your saddle!" Good man! Wouldn't have braved the slush if I hadn't been quite so.... BORED! Sent using Arbtalk Mobile App
  17. Hey dude, Harness is super comfy, lots of back support when adjusted properly. Negatives, not sure why it has twin rings on the bridge? And they jingle when I walk And I have a mere 29" waist and everything really is on its tightest adjustment! Sent using Arbtalk Mobile App
  18. I can ID most native uk trees by common and botanical names, have a small amount of knowledge of fungi. Posses a few tickets and I will, in due time take the wrest. But having done my tickets fairly recently and seen who can "pass" an assessment, I would not consider it to prove much more than a basic understanding of the HS and legal side of things. The wrest comes from studying/experience. Sent using Arbtalk Mobile App
  19. Looks like a great setup Aaron! Is that a kolibri harness? See your using a pulley saver, is it much less friction that the Multi saver?? Sent using Arbtalk Mobile App
  20. Haha my kit has never been so clean! Everything hoovered and sorted ! And yes I have been known to have far to much bling hanging from my harness! Sent using Arbtalk Mobile App
  21. Hi All! So it's rubbish weather out there, so I'm sat in the warm for the day! Ok so we've had the what's on your saddle thread! So I thought id have a go at a "show us what's in your kit bag thread!" What's your favourite bit of kit anything you hate!? I've only been climbing proper like for about 6-8 months so I probably haven't got as much shiny as you guys! My favourite bits of kit are my poison hi-vy with hitch climber, just works so well together (now I have my vt perfect) And also love my H-bros flip line with stein e-2-e and isc pulley for slack tending. Oh and my Multi saver! Sent using Arbtalk Mobile App
  22. Just about to replace boots, will either go for air streams, or the pfanners Sent using Arbtalk Mobile App
  23. Got some growing nicely on apples ill get you some pics if I remember. Seeds under bark worked for us, and now is a pretty good time to have a go! Sent using Arbtalk Mobile App
  24. Second this ^ Myself and friends will happily shoot most common pests (pigeon, rabbit, fox, deer etc) free of charge. And also without a pretty serious air rifle (£1k+) you will struggle . Stick at the tree work bud! Read a couple of your posts and you seem hung up on the driving licence. I have friends who cycle to work out of choice! Glass is always half full dude if the grounder works not there, apply with some landscape/garden firms Work is there, just have to stick at it. Sent using Arbtalk Mobile App
  25. I ware my smartest clean uniform (polo and sweatshirt) and take the sign written van. but most important, a smile and positive attitude Sent using Arbtalk Mobile App
