    Norfolk

Bloomin' marvelus. Fair yew well til then!
  2. I use shutz gun, it works well. It is worth brushing it over afterwards just to smoth things out a bit. I use a piece of card or v. thin ply to sheild posts etc from any splatter (there is not a lot of splatter).
  3. The 3L twin cam in the Rodeo suffered from cracking between the valves (A local main dealer had a yard full of broken rodeos for a while, all requiring new heads). The 3L single cam is fine (4JH1-TC engine). The 3L trooper had overheating on No. 4 Cylinder? Which I understand caused seizure. I'm not entirely sure, I didn't have one. To be fair at that purchase price even if this Rodeo had a dead engine it would be fine.
  4. The twin cam 3L version had A LOT of trouble with cracked heads - def avoid the twin cam 3L (older 3L and 3.1L and single cam 3L are fine).
  5. If you are unlucky enough to have a tax investigation, they will send accountants to sit with you and the tax man to resolve any financial issues which may arise. A local garage owner used this service several years ago when they were investigated. The accountants stopped the tax man from asking too many awkward questions, and quickly resolved their accounting problems. There are many other perks, it is an independent organisation run by elected business people. They have a strong voice in government, basically, as a small business; they are our voice!
  6. I'm slowly building the new one Index I can no loger access my 2003 version Tree Stump Removal in Norfolk
  7. I just have it as an insurance, lots of advice if you need it and if the tax man comes knocking they will deal with it!
  8. Yup, buy the Echo. They really are quite good! Once run in, they are very very close to a 200T. The plastic casing does look really cheap and nasty but they don't seem to break and the mechanics are faultless. I've has a 201T and the new Husky, I was very pleased to get rid of them both! Although the Echo is not perfect, it is quite adequate and outperforms the new Stihl and Husky I had. I will buy another!
  9. This ballistic should work very well! Technology and product comparison - Magnum aircraft recovery systems
  10. I have one, buy the Toyota or Ford! The 4x4 selector is a PITA, very slow to engage/disengage. Not enough power for the engine spec, mine is 3l. Steering/handling and driveline is fine and they are a very pretty truck. Buy something else!
  11. I have been playing with genuine and non genuine from the link earlier. I have a 16ha site of mostly birch stumps to clear to surface level, i.e. The teeth were only ever in contact with wood. I thought this would be an ideal chance for me to find the best teeth for myself. I purchased some genuine 900's and non-genuine 900's. I started using one of two sets of new genuine teeth, I found it necessary to turn them every 4ish hours to maintain a reasonable cutting speed. Therefore a set replacement/sharpen every 2 days. I did the same with the teeth available from the link earlier, they achieved four days (30ish hours) before the first turn, 3 on the second then I used it to cut a stump below ground which obviously took the edge off. I will be taking them out again soon to the same site. Both sets of teeth were used in the same area of the same site. This was only a non-scientific experiment for me, some may find genuine teeth better. I have also noticed the American and German tungsten carbide (on other machines I run) is far superior to the Chinese which both sets of teeth used appear to be made from.
  12. They are good teeth, try them! I'm very sure you will not be disappointed.
  13. Yup, I've seen two husky fuel can spouts stick as well (two separate owners). Both are on good quality forecourt fuel. I expect mine will do the same too. Is anybody else tiring from poorly designed products from all of the leading manufacturers (in and outside of arborculture)?
  14. It seems like a good price to me, I think the list price is £3800 on standard wheels . Have a look at other trailers too.
  15. I run both, the 13" are better in softer terrain. They appear to handle the weight better and are slightly wider. I would fit them on all of my ifors if £££ allowed!
  16. I have several ifors and indespention. The old Ifors I have are fantastic, the new have (in my opinion, having one a few months old and lots of welding) very poor build quality. If I were buying again I would go Brian James or Indespention. I used to run an indespention challenger 8x5 (the old version of your photo) it is fantastic and I rarely had access issues.
  17. sycamore!! It's too late for me!
  18. They look like they have been re-tipped in the past but they appear fine in the photo. are you somewhere near mid Norfolk, I could prob help. What type of wood are you cutting?
  19. Lots to do there for a short stay, try Norwich airport, it costs a little more (well, quite a lot really) but it is convenient. Is it wise to advertise your absence from your property for a week? .
  20. Taken a while ago. Not really stump grinding more concrete grinding. Stump grinder vs reinforced concrete post. The teeth were worn and ready to discard but received a bit of a sharpen. They went on to do few more stumps after this. The post was in the way of a new fence - another "while you are here, can you just.....".

  22. It would appear he is in USA. Have a look at his facebook page from his website: Edmonton Stump Removal - ABC Stump Removal Edmonton
  23. Have a look at all the trailers, blue line etc. I wish I did! I was lazy and went for an Ifor (arrived in March), I have welded, welded and welded on it, It is certainly not abused, it only carries 1ton. If could offer any advice don't buy the GX105! The 'new improved' versions are far too flimsy now. The old Ifors I have are still going strong.
