  1. Yes we found out the worst way, the ripper teeth just ping off! Shows the difference in the metal ones more rigid than the other. But I do agree not a lot in those 2 but as we have Woodmizer industrial setter and sharpeners, I think we have made our bed lol
  2. Try david dyke in horam East Sussex. I think you will be surprised what he doesn't have!!
  3. We use double hard Woodmizer blades, no problem cutting oak, ekki, green heart etc (well they last a few mtrs on the green heart and Eki) but can't fault them. The biggest tip I could give is once there used let them rest before you do anything to them. At least 24hrs then you can re sharpen set etc
  4. We are in Sussex and could supply elm waney edge but would have to check we can supply to your area due to d e d.
  5. Thanks for these, will chase up today. I think Donald works for English woodlands now though?
  6. Thanks, andys on the hunt for us as we speak 👍also chantlers don't have any at present either
  7. Is anyone selling, extracting, moving any western red in the round 3.6m lengths ideally. We are Sussex based and after a delivered in price for an artic load? Or more depending on size and quality. Thanks
  8. It might just be our mills but I can't recall the mast ever being a problem as in rocking a wonky cut etc but this is only my experience with them. And ours is static which might factor?
  9. Agreed but if your blade and guides are aligned correctly you'll cut straight single or twinned
  10. Straight lumber is down to the set up, blades, operated and the timber any machine can cut straight and any machine can cut bad. If your set up is good you'll cut good. We cut 5' wide elm on a 2" blade and no wobble. Hopefully though your man can find you something soon 👍
  11. We have a few 4' by 3" slabs 4m long air dried about 2 years and a few 6" and 5" slabs but obly up to 3m. All through and through
  12. http://www.woodmizer-europe.com/Products/Industrial/Sawmills/WM1000 Don't overlook these either 👍
  13. Thanks big j👍 We used to have a big chainsaw mill. But someone decided to borrow it in the middle of the night and after this happening a few times.... Well the wm is a bit heavier to pinch
  14. 👍that's a mighty tree there. The grain looks amazing!!
  15. Keep sharing, very good to watch all the stuff that's out there 👍
  16. We set and sharpen our own blades, by the time you've sent your blades off got then back, theve usually lost there set, got blunt again or late being delivered. We should have shared in Woodmizer the amount of there kit we seem to be acquiring lol
  17. We made use of the discount and had a new lt40hd The wheels are just for the loading as it's actually static
  18. That brush looks quite impressive. These machines are like the mebor range. Impressive
  19. We have a scraper and literally do it that way. Larch sawdust is horrible clogs everything up.
  20. Yes unfortunately it looks rot that tree.
  21. Because we can compete on beams.instead of offering sleepers we offer what we call a garden grade of anything which hasent made beaming or joinery. It's run down to 2" thick and various widths and lengths and people seem to like this. Peak frames yes we do slightly discount for regulars as anyone would. We like people to stay regular
