  7. I've got a landy and I understand they have there faults.....but I do like towing my work mates hilux out of the woods in the winter when it gets stuck in.
  8. Thats the bit that annoys me Mark, locking unlocking checking your gear making sure you can see it from where your working......I'm well p'ed off with it. 3 crusied past today on a job:thumbdown:
  9. Its the same as ringing cars....theres pro's out there, How many stories have we heard about hinges being cut of containers etc, most are pro's so it just another hurdle they will get over. But I agree it needs to be made harder for the easy selling of stolen gear

  15. Cheers Treequip, will do, withe regards to the vin plate do you just approach your landy dealer to sort you a new uprated one.
  16. Hi scraggs , Heres the spec of this 110...it a 92 defender 200 tdi,ex-utility converted to a tipper. It has a salisbury rear axle...just really trying to find out what to change....maybe a good idea to look at a 130? Cheers Matty:thumbup1:

  18. Treebloke Its definitely a 110 and is plated 3050kg on the vin plate:confused1: was just wondering if it can be uprated to 3500kg

    To be fair should have it on a lead near the cliff edge.....never a good idea to play fetch on top of the cliffs, better on the beach?

  21. Cheers Rob....Someone suggested sending the log book back for change? but yours seems more sensible way of doing it.

Cheers Rob for the response....I help to convert it to a tipper 2 years ago but the plate stayed as 3050kg and nothing was changed suspension wise......hence I have had first offer on buying it. hopefully someone may now about how you go about getting the plate changed and where you get the new plate from.
