  1. I thought he had been looking like he has had Parkinson's for a while. Especially some of his most recent interviews. Very funny man from my neck of the woods. Just got to look at Michael J Fox for inspiration.
  2. You could lift the tree and plant it in a big container or dig a trench and line it with mypex or other ground control material. This would contain the roots, allow drainage and allow for easier transplanting if the HA decide they want it removed again or if you move on. A long post but I understand your frustration. I certainly wouldn't tolerate someone entering my house. If you are not up to the job I would have had the police round there straight away. You might have found the problem disappearing.
  3. I really like that mate. What's the finish on it? Did you add the sword after?
  4. Love it, did you wear a balaclava !!!!

    husq 372?

Looking at getting a smaller bar for my 372 xp. It's got a big bore kit and handles the 24" bar fine for my applications. Just wanting a smaller bar for reduced weight, better balance and less cutters to file etc. I don't use it every day. So any recommendations? Is a 15" tooo small. Was thinking 18" for balance. Any bar recommendations as well. ( sorry for slight derail).
  7. Interesting, I bought a cylinder from them about a year back for my 372 and after about the same time had a failure. The cylinder was goosed. I will put a pic up to let you see. Didn't think I stood a chance with asking for a replacement and couldn't be hassled with sending it back, waiting etc. so got a big bore kit which I am more than happy with and the quality is superior. I think I should have smoothed off the ports on the first replacement. I had phoned customer services regarding the part no. of the original replacement as the part numbers were different from advertised, wasn't the best conversation I have had:sneaky2: so I really wasn't going to get wound up again. I have bought a few things from them with no troubles.
  8. :congrats::congrats:Great news, your on your way to that knighthood !!!
  9. Share your mythical beast with us friend
  10. Head Gardener/Groundsman. Like the variety of stuff on here. Spending more of my working days in the woods so Arbtalk is great for recommendations on gear. Love the carving section of the forum for ideas and the mix of characters. Fix most of my equipment (when I can) with a little help from the techs. Try my best to buy from suppliers on here and bought a few t shirts to do my bit for the forum. Always interesting.
  11. Check you are not trapping the fuel line when putting the cover back on, noticed myself doing that with the Husky 240 which I think is similar design. Fuel line has a bit of play in it which causes this problem. just a thought.
  12. Plenty of good pics here Carve Carrbridge 2013 Photographs | Carrbridge News
  13. Great day out, got plenty of tips and glad to meet some fellow arbtalkers. Jim I think I spotted you but you were with the family( Red arbtalk t-shirt?). I liked the venue change this year as you could get a real good look at the sculptures from all angles. Plus the quick carves looked safer at each competitors station. Thanks to Dervish for his Hedgehog masterclass!!!!! I am going to have to apply for next year, so thanks again for giving me lots of inspiration, tips and encouragement folks. I had good intentions of getting lots of pictures, but phone was playing up (the usual!!!) I had my ear muffs on when those big saws started up:blushing: safety first!!!. That's me hiding behind Roni's piece.
  14. Weather is looking fair for you guys so I'm planning the long trip up. Would be good to meet some arbtalkers up there. So on Saturday I will be mostly wearing one of my arbtalk t-shirts and a black fleece with orange shoulders. I will probably have my black muffs on too! The secret password is "Hello". On a more serious note, I hope you all stay safe and enjoy your day.

  18. When your in there grab yourself a stihl catalogue. You will get all the options for your strimmer there.
  19. Take it in to your local dealer cos you will need to buy from there anyways!!!! Autocut C 25-2 might be what your looking for.
  20. Matching mirrors, brolly stand, shoe racks even a wee shelf for a broadband router/phone(as I know a few people with them in there hallways). All with some matching ironmongory features might be ideas for you guys.
  21. Can't fault my 211 don't use it everyday but I use it over my Husky 240 everytime now. Simple start sequence, using a 14" bar and trouble free. Hope that helps
  22. You need to just let the air get to that.
  23. Heres the pics to save you searching.
  24. You can use my pics on this thread if you like. (near bottom of page) http://arbtalk.co.uk/forum/general-chat/54560-what-protection-do-chainsaw-gloves-offer-2.html Update on injury after a year is that I have full movement but still missing some of my index finger. Have lost the feeling in the tip and still have problems gripping. The first knuckle is still tender. The middle finger has no feeling on the pad. And I have new fingerprints. Even though this is a very small injury compared to some of the life changing ones I have seen on here, it has still affected my productivity at work. And have to wear rubber gloves if I am lifting anything bulky. Hope that can be of some use to you.
  25. I use a flexothane jacket and flexothane bib and brace. Shorts and t'shirt underneath and I feel comfortable all day. I order a size up to keep them on the loose side. Relatively cheap and compact. I would like the more expensive option Steve. maybe one day.
