  9. many thanks guys for all your advice i apreciate all your views, i am struggling a bit on the fine detailing and thought the mini grinder would help ,it is going cheap and i might have a go, i will still try to refine my work with the carving bar and agree that only time and experience will improve me, once again many thanks, what a great site will start posting some of my carvings soon when they look good enough, just did an owl but it looks more like a meerkat with wings lol

Hi guys i,m looking at buying a arbortech mini carver on ebay, its never been used and looks good , ive noticed proxxon do a long handled angle grinder that looks very similar but much cheaper what are your views on these two and are they any good. i would be using them for finer detail on my chainsaw carving as being a novice carver i am not yet up to speed with my carving bar,(eyes and noses flying off everywhere lol) thanks
