  1. come on everyone......!! who is going to spit out how to rotate it!
  2. Still no-one telling the correct method? Makes wonder what scale the industry is in
  3. dadio, you are not IT doing properly (imo), you are getting a result, but your technique is basic, and very risky. Ask anyone on here how the to fell a hung tree, i'm not going to put my 2pence in, because I know someone else to state the obvious, i'm surprised that no-one has done so already. People have stated we are a 'nanny state' but when you realise that certain qualifications give you the opportunity to meet professionals who in turn have met many more tree workers and gained experience - you get the best knowledge available.
  4. I think thats a limited control high risk effort on the video. Not covered in CS32 practices to move around or cut in that fashion. There are far better ways to deal with the problem, so I would (IMO) that people avoid this practice - unless you have many years experience and are looking for a way out......
  5. yep, I thought that, lovely split off the union.
  6. I thought i'd share this for 2 reasons, one being the amount of force it took to snap the stem and because it was only a skinny tree, I thought I would offer some idea how strong these blighters are next we are climbing something without much diameter. 7. it depends on your pulley saver and the large eye. every time its a matter of understanding the finicky things that help, sometimes leaving it slack helps, or keeping the pulley tight on the line. there are clever ways to make sure it comes free every time (patent pending)
  8. pencoed college do them, but short notice might not do it...
  9. i think the best option for most if your earning. setup a limited company and pay yourself the right wage to gain the mortgage. that way might take only 3months compared to 2yrs accounts for being self employed.
  10. i got given a fake one, 10yrs ago, its over 20yrs old and cost £170. it looks real and is still in great condition, over time its earn't its dough. no hassel, no ques, no water, no cutting, time or fuel. my times mine
  11. simple mantra? do you believe in creative visualisation? it works, if the basics are easy.
  12. there are loads of videos out there using hypnotic techniques to draw people in, tesla was unlucky - but at least people are working on it, it also does not matter what people have - they will always be billed,...nothing is free, window tax?
  13. its worth watching because of its impact on nature, but you have to watch the whole thing.
  14. makita are great, i got 2, no issues.
  15. did anyone watch the youtube vid i put on? its gets a bit on top, but there are amazing points about wireless stuff.
  16. 30psi is 2bar - my tyre man who sadly died last year, my best mate....always all his life 2bar....its 2bar ....ffs ITS 2BAR! his words not mine....loved him anyway.

  18. 30 is a good number, 40 if you want good mpg but dont care about wear. 25 is nice. 20 on mud 15 on sand.....10 if stuck..

  20. thanks for those numbers, did a search on yell - 10,000 for 'tree work' 2,000 as 'treesurgeons'
  21. thanks, i thought the same on a daily time frame of 5hrs, so maybe 15hrs for most part-timers.
  22. This is a serious question for a business plan. I need to answer 3 main questions. 1. How many tree companies? 2. How many lead/support climbers? 3. average climbing hours worked each week? Any helpful answers would be greatly appreciated.
  23. its not a knut. there is another twist, its totally different in action. i know what a knut is, therefore this thread would not exist.
