  1. Hi Paul, I try and go out most Saturday's if the weather allows. I live in Exmouth and there's some great places nearby. Daniel.
  2. Not the actual job completed today but something that occurred on the way home from the yard and thought it might be of interest.
  3. That's what I've been thinking. The poor woman's begging him to stop! Daniel.
  4. I get that too. Weirdest feeling! Daniel.
  5. Makes me feel so uncomfortable, sweaty palm syndrome! Daniel.
  6. I think the Level 4 would be more suitable/useful but I didn't want to dive in at the deep end so to speak. The Level 2 Award was around £500 but the Level 4 was closer to. £4000! A huge jump which made me cautious about the amount of time required which is why I decided to test the waters with a Level 2 Award first. I think Myerscough only offer the Level 2 Award. Try Tree Life for Levels 4 & 6. I think they require the odd classroom day here and there, but again I'm not confident on this because as you said it's difficult trying to find clear information. Daniel.
  7. Hi Sam, I've been looking into academic training myself lately so I think I can offer a bit of advice. I'm starting the ABC Level 2 Award in Arboriculture online through Mysercough College in July. It's worth noting though that this is really a basic qualification and won't allow you to do much in the way of surveying/consultancy. To be able to do that you'll be wanting to do the ABC Level 4 Award but the cost is much greater as is the time required. As for qualifications that are recognised abroad I've seen job vacancies advertised overseas that ask for ISA Certified Arborist's so that might be something worth looking into? I think that's an exam you sit? Don't take my word for gospel though as I've found it a bit of a minefield in regards to seeking out further education via distance learning. Hope this is of some help. Daniel.
  8. Second that. Using an adjustable cambium saver is surely the most practical way as you can also be lowered of this in the event of a pole rescue? Daniel.
  9. This birch couldn't of fallen in a better place, aside from the obvious targets there was a summerhouse in range to the left and a fence behind. Daniel.
  10. A Western Hemlock had fallen into an Acer in Killerton House Gardens. Quite a challenge this one!
  11. Great customer, we arrived on site to these treats. Daniel.
  12. A little job in Budleigh Salterton from this morning. Daniel.
  13. Weird video. Is it supposed to be a promotional?
  14. I'm off for two weeks now so it's up to you dude?
  15. Come out with me for a climb soon? I have access to a basic SRT set up as well as other gadgets you can try out. Daniel.
  16. Ha ha! I think that would get moderated?! Daniel.
  17. A little gap filling axe I have on my leg Daniel.
  18. Great stuff. Just PM me on here if you get anything sorted. Daniel.
  19. I'd still be keen for this!!! There's some very large Beech on common land near Exmouth. Daniel.
  20. I think you'd have to be extremely unlucky for the Australian authorities to check. My brother and his girlfriend flew out there two weeks ago and had no issues. I've had friends go out and never have problems either. In fact I've never heard of anyone who has had their finances checked. Daniel.
  21. Here's a few of a Lime we felled this week. As you can see in the first photo it was in close proximity to the clients house. . Daniel.
