1. Thanks guys. I was hoping the college would eventually provide a reading list all though they have been quite lapse so far. Daniel Scott. East Devon Tree Care.
2. No body??? Daniel Scott. East Devon Tree Care.
3. I'm starting the RFS Level 2 Certificate in September and I'm after some advice on what books might be useful to me during and after this. Thanks in advance. Daniel Scott. East Devon Tree Care.
4. As the title indicates I'm looking for a bit of advice on using 10mm hitch cord on 11.7 rope as apposed to 8mm. My thinking is that it may last longer and dissipate heat a little better? Daniel.
5. What are the chances? I have a Spiderjack and Ropeguide for sale? Listed them on Arbtrader but no takers. Daniel.
6. The photo certainly doesn't do the 'workmanship' justice. Around the other side of the tree was a pollarded limb of about 8-10" diameter that kissed the top of the crown.
7. I dread what it will look like in winter
8. On route to a job in Sidmouth this morning and I passed this. I had to stop and take a photo to share with you guys.
9. Check Arbtrader if you're interested.
10. I like the look if those plain Protos, a black would really get me thinking.
11. Myself and a colleague are starting the RFS Certificate of Arboriculture in September, that's run through Myerscough but I believe Tree Life offer it as well. It's a distance learning format.
12. The absolute bare minimum would be 1 harness, 1 rope, 2 Prussik loops and 2 Carabiners.
13. I've been in two minds about getting one for a while and this thread hasn't helped me decide. I guess it'll be a case of trial by fire really?
14. What about a funeral? Or in court? Or a meeting with a mortgage provider?
15. I had the apprentice with me, I did all the cutting myself. Daniel.
16. Beech hedge reduction. I'm really happy with the results as it's the biggest hedge I've done solo to date. Daniel.
17. Exactly, the garden is too close for comfort for any threat so should be allowed to be guarded as such. Another example of 'soft law' but ultimately this comes down to people keeping dogs without the sense of responsibility or intelligence to do so. Daniel.
18. Ah ok, I didn't think of it like that. I think that the line shouldn't be blurred as a dog won't distinguish and will see a garden as it's territory and naturally want to protect it, as long as the dog is secure within the garden, then if someone enters that in my eyes it's the amounts to the same thing. Daniel.
19. Seems fairly logical to me? Perhaps apart from the part about being accountable if someone is bitten on your garden. Daniel.
