  1. Might go down tomorrow, not sure yet
  2. Bit of tight ledge, wouldn't want to lose concentration.. http://www.guarda-qui.info/blog/un-impresa-da-pazzi-mai-visto-nulla-del-genere-video/?fb_ref=Default (Courtesy Forestmachineoperatorjobs)
  3. Another recommend for Howford Hydraulics
  4. Could do individual. Are all the functions going off or just one or two? If all of them then loose main card, feed or connector likely to be issue.
  5. Or for a steering drawbar
  6. The wire goes to top of right hand lever and that's a hirchmann connector (and possibly electric valve) in other pic so possibly had an EHC system for controlling extension and grab at some point.
  7. Same as those but covers seem to have disappeared though will be about somewhere.
  8. I've got ISP boxes fully refurbed and tested if of interest. Cards too
  9. Mrs Eggs is having a late night on the razz! Edit. The quote above is another one of the great lady's and again hard to disagree with no matter your political persuasion I would think. Off to bed now early start/long days work ahead tomorrow in my other job- whisky time
  10. Google changed their search algorithms year or so ago, if you have Facebook page, blog posts etc with lots of activity linked to your website then their search engines pick up on this more than just a flashy website with lots of buzz words.
  11. I'm going to add this one to my signature Pennies do not come from heaven. They have to be earned here on earth.
  12. If boundaries were equal votes per mp then Tories would have majority in region of 70 MPs Yes ref up to Scottish voters - we rejected independence by majority 55/45 in September. Don't you remember? Edit - my point re Indy ref was if that SNP can't secure above 50% vote in a GE where arguably they've never been stronger then it will be hard for them to push above that to achieve full independence. Another point - as current govt If Tories grant home rule (full fiscal autonomy) to Edinburgh as result of this election then even harder for SNP to drive for independence. Next steps for both are crucial but I rate sturgeon as better politician than salmond - he had great strengths but some weaknesses also.
  13. Now that is racist - lowering discussion about business regarding the third (or seventh) largest economy in world to slang term for food
  14. It will be interesting. It's all to play for with Tories in govt in UK and SNP in Scotland, the next few steps by both are crucial. Few points - 1. Despite the massive SNP mp superiority they only achieved 50% of vote, a fantastic achievement but not enough to achieve independence and this from a party arguably at their zenith. How do they play it for here, that's not strong enough performance and too soon after last ref to achieve success. 2. Boundary reform in UK and both labour/SNP are seriously weakened ie votes per mp is levelled. 3. Is it time for PR? Huge votes for Tories in Scotland plus UKIP, lib dems etc across UK but no representation - is this the best democracy can do?
  15. On a serious note. Every individual here runs a business or works for one*. Both these businesses and individuals must manage their finances astutely or there will be serious consequences; a repossessed home or a liquidated business. Why are are people so lackadaisical about politicians promising them land of milk and honey? Where will the money come from Everything has to be paid for ultimately, whether you are of conservative or a more liberal persuasion please look at the figures and ask your representative - "if you're promising me this then what is being sacrificed to pay for it?" We all work on similar basis day to day to provide for our families, all politicians and their promises should be held to similar scrutiny. *controversial I know but public sector doesn't count as entirely funded by contributions of private business/individuals.
  16. Apologies for typos, few beers and typing fast on iPhone - fat fingers and autocorrect are unforgiving!
  17. Re Zimbabwe. Brits left and Rhodesia founded, years laterMugabe took possession of the farms by mixture of threats and brutality. Farms were majority white owned and major employers of both whites and blacks. Unfortunately after takeover they were mismanaged and poverty resulted across both communities. A loss to everyone. Please check history! There's another old quote about not learning from mistakes of the past then you're doomed to repeat them.
  18. Another good post huck. Although only internet posts people involved are debating and interested in current affairs, please don't lower to shouted insults. Remember the great lady's (a grocer daughter) quote: “I always cheer up immensely if an attack is particularly wounding because I think, well, if they attack one personally, it means they have not a single political argument left.” And on a lighter note another one of hers.. “In politics, If you want anything said, ask a man. If you want anything done, ask a woman.”
  19. South Africa now going down the swanny too, talent drain, corruption etc. on a side note it's only country I've ever done business in where my host has taken me aside before presentation to explain that some of audience will talk, sleep(!) and check phones whilst I'm speaking... "Please ignore and continue as normal to the rest of audience"
  20. I do business with Indians and they freely admit Brits were best thing that ever happened, you have to remember that the British empire didn't rape and loot like a maturing army on rampage. It organised and put structures in place. You have to step out of the rhetoric and look at facts. The demarcation lines after ww1 were wrong but an attempt to stop the sectarian butchery which existed and has now resumed now that the strongmen dictators have been disposed in the name of democracy. Albeit not empire but a good example of brutality erupting after decades is former Yugoslavia under Tito.
  21. Total bollocks. British empire died generations ago and on the whole we left countries in better shape than we found them - ask the Indians for example. At end of ww2 we had no empire but debt that would choke a horse, we've struggled through ever since.
  22. The Eastern Europeans do it because the Brits can have an easier lifestyle relying on the welfare state - that is wrong. As is demonising young people who will leave their homes and families to do hard work in poor conditions for low wages.
  23. Haven't read all posts but this is very astute comment. The left bangs on about poverty in UK but our standard of living is exceptionally high - even for people on welfare. True poverty is when you see people looking through the sewers for sweetcorn and other stuff to eat, gathering up as much plastic as they can carry to earn handful of coppers to feed their family. The modern western welfare state is unsustainable and remember it should be a safety net to roof and feed a family, it's not a lifestyle choice. Re NHS funding; beyond the media hype again there is consensus that it is more than adequately funded but that there is far too much waste mainly due to middle management. Get it running efficiently and there's plenty room to save money and maintain services. .. And if Tories are such nasty b*stards why are we still borrowing something in region £8 billion per month more than we're taking in tax receipts. Do people not realise we absolutely must balance books as our debt and interest payments are getting out of control.
  24. While not strictly related to thread but similar theme... Given strength of pound recently and after poor service from a UK machinery dealer I thought I'd see what price I could source spare parts for some of my machines from dealers in Europe. End result was I received twice the number of parts for two thirds the price and service was excellent. I like to support local dealers as much I can, however when UK dealer is 3 times the price for same parts then no thanks... and if parts are three times the price then how much is a new machine from same source??
  25. Whilst the SNP have secured tremendous result regarding number of seat (95%) it's worth bearing in mind they did this with only 50% of the vote. 50% is obviously a good result for a political party but is it enough of an improvement to win a referendum? Given amount of tactical voting in support of SNP I think not. For both Tories and SNP it's all to play for now and I'd suggest Tories have slight edge if they keep the head and think strategically on how best to manage situation going forward. - boundary reform to level playing field can affect SNP as much as labour - can SNP maintain momentum now they're bigger party, 56 young Westminster MPs to manage for a start - full fiscal powers to Edinburgh should weaken the SNP as they can longer keep blaming Westminster and will have to take full responsibility for all revenue/expenditure. Incidentally SNP received just over 3 times amount of votes compared to Tories but have 56 seats to Tories 1, given UKIP/greens/libdems situation across UK it does show how unfair the fptp system can be. - Fantastic to see Balls, Cable and Davey out. Some of the other libdem losses such as Kennedy and Alexander perhaps to be regretted a little as they seemed decent individuals and to be good constituency MPs
