  1. There can't be much payload in it though??
  2. 6 wheeler with trailer would be my suggestion, loads of 24t and for any tight spots you can drop trailer and run load out to it then go back to load unit again. I don't think you can run a lorry part time though, the costs are such that it needs to be earning its keep all the time.
  3. It's maybe just what's she's wearing tonight
  4. She's a bit shapeless no? Not much hips or arse
  5. Full marks for perseverance
  6. I run 560 15", 365 18" and 576 24". Of those the the 560 needs different bar and I'm sure some of the chains need different number links too compared to same bar size in large mount, if I can simplify things by replacing the 560s with 562s then I'm happy with that. I also run forwarder and processor so have tools/spares in truck for those too.
  7. http://www.telegraph.co.uk/finance/newsbysector/banksandfinance/11550065/HSBC-chairman-warns-Britains-biggest-bank-could-leave-for-Asia-as-taxes-bite.html
  8. I'm happy to sacrifice little bit of weight to have consistency across bars
  9. The banks shares will be sold at some point and the bail out repaid. Incidentally the bailout was years ago but govt is borrowing still increasing every month to tune of nearly £10 billion. That's an additional £10 billion borrowed every month over and above our already absolutely massive debt... And the left wing parties want to borrow even more! The country has massive problems and obsessing about bankers isn't going to solve them.
  10. If engine gets good sustained workout can the glazing effect be burnt off?
  11. Yes interesting read and thanks for tips on correct oil. Engine works hard so slightly thicker sounds good.
  12. Not the best photo but little wren was very busy yesterday building this in back of the forwarder.
  13. Our next saws will be 562s for simple reason of bigger bar mount. It's a total pain having one set of saws taking different bars
  14. Fair point about keeping the tape as a refill as always need to have a spare to hand. I wouldn't open the case though, that spring is just desperate to get out!
  15. Not quite sure how you can say that, it was the most recent general election and one which resulted in our current govt. And when Sturgeon references Tories only having one MP it is results of that election she is referring too.
  16. Ok thanks for extensive explanation. My machines don't do a lot of hours so I may look at using redline next time I plan to do service, I'd be interested in seeing what price can get it in direct from the states... Or Continental Europe. I know UK operating costs are ridiculously high but I've started sourcing parts from Europe as much cheaper in most cases
  17. I've mentioned this before but the "there's no Tories in Scotland" is a bit of a myth and is simply due to boundaries and the vote being split. Historically Scotland used to vote Tory and for example in last general election the SNP were only 79,000 votes ahead of the Tories. To put that in perspective that's less than 3% of all votes cast in Scotland from a total of 2.5 million. When sturgeon starts her rant about Tories having no mandate in Scotland I always wish someone would challenge her using voting stats, instead of just assuming that as Tories only have one mp she's correct. http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/shared/election2010/results/region/7.stm
  18. Ok thanks TCD, that's a big difference in price. I assume shipping will be part of it as RL coming in from the states but is there any other reason why RL so expensive? Sorry for derailing your thread
  19. You can drill a small hole for the screw in end of tape also
  20. Once tape connected to reel loosen (Don't undo them) all the side screws round the outside on the side with spring. Holding the outer case rotate the spring section the same direction as your tape winds in, this puts tension back into the spring. Don't overdo it and snap the spring or have the tape coming in too fast. You can always add bit more tension to spring after few trial runs
  21. I see the red line stuff is 50% more expensive in UK than in USA
  22. Good to hear John, they have good reputation. I service my kit fairly regularly and will try TCD's Red Line recommendation next time.
  23. Perkins is on my forwarder Jon, FMG 250
  24. This is my friends and he's got some cracking and unusual trees, the fruit as well is fantastic. It may be of interest to some of you, from 19 minutes onwards BBC iPlayer - The Beechgrove Garden - 2015: Episode 3
  25. Good thread TCD. I'm also interested in this Red Line oil you talk of all the time. What spec would you suggest for 6cyl turbo Perkins, 1990 vintage? On slightly different track... I got injectors in Lokomo reconditioned but I'd say it's smokier than before. Always wondered if I'd got them seated right or made some other cock up causing the smoke.
