  4. Hijacking this thread for a second with a simple question. Although the pic does have a hinge for you (with some lovely spalting to boot). This is ash right? It was just a dead stick with nothing on it.

  6. Unless your a bee in a jar I wouldn't worry about it. i reckon more people die from fish fingers every year than laurel hedges. Just a guess.

  11. You could see what regenerates after a year and then cut out the dead wood and let it recover from that.
  12. Well you might as well lose it and give the yew a chance. id probably expect it to take 2/3 years to start seeing a good difference and that is if the wood isn't too dead but it looks like it has some small new growth in the dead/dying area to spark off with.
  13. It will take a while but I would have thought eventualy it will recover on that side being a yew. Hopefully someone smarter than me will come along.

  16. Never changed a cam on one yet and have been usseing it for years. It's not geting the same abuse like the spiderjack cam gets. Not sure I have ever wanted a side strop to be midline attachable for any reason but I guess that's preference and technique. It's a nice and neat little gadget in my opinion.

  18. The wheels arnt the widest point it's the chip guard behind the the grinding wheel.
