  1. How on earth can the absence of a smell be a reason to hate a product.
  2. Are there more than one that manufacture?
  3. There are about 150 000 products to choose from in the home and garden products section and you are going for a product where small cash isn't buying you any pleasure. Go for a deck chair.
  4. Snow plough
  5. Hi Eddie, just curious. Is the Aspen that you supply the same as we get here in the Netherlands or do different parts of the world have different oil companies that do the blending?
  6. In my opinion that would be a mild case of RTFM than.
  7. Has this all to do with Aspen changing it's formula? The Benelux (Belgium, Netherlands and Luxembourg) have gone to the new improved Aspen 2 formula. After intensive testing by a Dutch facility their fuel keeps the engine clean as their competitors Motomix does. http://www.aspen-benelux.nl/nl-nl/producten/aspen2frt/overfullrangetechnology.aspx
  8. It's not Coletti. The strop loop is metal! The loop to place your saw on the hook of your belt is plastic. But that plastic loop is stong enough to keep your saw from hitting the pavement.
  9. Probably because they want to keep you dry even with your arms stretched out in front of you. Are there no buttons on there to close the rim?
  10. About 120 cm. On each end a double fisherman and as hitch I used to use a Valdotain (not the tresse).
  11. To me every mm is a bonus.
  12. We didn't. Mine unfortunately broke off (not) (did so) (no way) (sure).
  13. Haha, don't blame me for the safety compromises. BTW, keeping your head cool thinking rational and thus avoiding havoc is worth something isn't it.
  14. This is mine. Bought this machine about two months ago. I have been backyard narrow access chipping approximately 20 cubic metres by now. About one third of this was done into a "kliko".
  15. The main ingredient of bio chain oil is rapeseed oil. So when the cold pressed rapeseed oil gets more expensive, the branded will probably will curve the same.
  16. Not enough as it is imho. I ripped off, ahum I mean misplaced, the sliding top cover... I know, I know, shouldn't have done that. Compliant bladibla... But the amount of 'ventilation' holes almost doubled. Not that I had to use that much excessive force btw.
  17. Why is it that I get the feeling we have to preach our way to hell and back to convert mineral and factory branded bio oil users to go canola/rapeseed oil. Ok, here we go again. Since I started using ONLY rapeseed oil, the machines got CLEANER! NOT GUMMED UP! Since I started using rapeseed oil, I got MORE CHAINS OUT OF A BAR! THE WEAR ON THE BAR AND CHAINS IS LESS! Since I started using rapeseed oil, I PAY A FRACTION ON OIL! Since i started using rapeseed oil, I'm NOT POLLUTING MY AND YOUR ENVIRONMENT!
  18. Guys, I really have to stop reading here. Reading some stuff here... Most chainsaws don't have separate fuel pumps. Most of the times it's the diesel injection that directly gets the fuel out of the tank directly positioned under the exhaust.
  19. Your chips are worth a fortune.
  20. Check the Pfanner brand! They fabricate extra long.
  21. What is the hazard here David? The tree isn't suddenly going to move here is it.
  22. Not to derail this complete train crash, but wasn't this topic started for a battery powered saw? Back on track?
  23. Why doesn't the farmer use it as a compensation for your dumping it there. It's an ideal product to enhance the organic matter percentage over the years. Using it/selling as biomass for energy is in my humble opinion a waste of a wonderful product.
  24. What's wrong with the machine Roni. Meanwhile I bought two extra batteries and during an average day I use 3 or 4 batteries. My problem was that I started using it for bigger and bigger wood thus overheating on these warmer days. The machine stopped functioning when hot. Realising that I stopped mutilating it for take downs and bucking down the trunks. Just pruning keeps the speed in the macine and overheating to a minimum. Don't know what a hot summer day will bring. Tension of the chain is an issue here. The tension I normally use (barely touching the bar) is sometimes ending in a too tight chain resulting in a saw that won't startup.
