  4. Thanks Felix. T&Cs, something that I haven't gotten into as yet. I have always tried/ thought I maybe a good judge when it comes to making a business? Maybe I need to have a rethink. Will search terms on here thanks chaps
  5. Went round to tomorrows job this afternoon after a fine day doing multiple jobs at one address only to be greeted by" Oh no, you should have had a phone call/ text/email to say we didn't want you." This job was a Cypress dismantle 60ft, Oak crown raise and dead wood in a mature, a fully grown specimen. I was to do lots of dragging/ chipping whilst my mate mewps his merry way around. So not only have I spent time on 2 visits, phonecalls to customer, to council(TPO) etc, organised diaries plant etc and finally loss of work profit. She was so happy for me to get the job done and its been in the diary for 3 weeks. They changed the job spec and got someone else in Is there anything I can do to prevent losses in the future or is this just how it is?
  6. 550xpgon 15 and 576xpg on 20 + 24 bars, both on 8pins. Each to their own good luck
  7. Arb aid is a top kit. I think its Greg, one of the chaps there, nice fellow. At least you know hes put some thought into it and you can re order bits as and when dates come and go or you use them up. Its all there! Good luck
  8. Canopy looks quite dense so have you thought of thinning instead of a crown reduction? That will allow wind to pass through more easily taking the "sail like" factor away, therefor helping your tree to stand strong.
  9. Good work, premier cutting well done
  10. OK that v kind of you. Its booked in now at the end of the month. Many thanks again
  11. That would be great 18, thanks. I am South of Birmingham near Shirley Solihull.

  13. Cheers 18, It does indeed sound like a slipping belt, a bad slip at that. I bought the truck and the "garage" who I bought it from, Real Landrover People, didn't even tell me that its been done, theres a box under the drivers seat, cant remember the name now but my mate confirmed they are a tuning firm, so if its been remapped then as you've said its possibly made the manifold warp. Another cost to fix or should we get a new one? Cheers again
  14. Thanks:001_smile:
  15. spin up and bog down in the cut from what I have read, however there are many folk on here, yourself included that have been doing this all your working lives so its good to ask the question as long as everyones happy to give some of their hard earned opinion, thanks Sawtroll
  16. thanks Matt, I will ask him if it could be that:001_smile:
  17. Chaps I have just read that a weird whistling turbo under power can be a warped manifold, broken nuts? am I worrying too much or am I due a trip down the mechanics? Thing is its done it since I bought my landy back in march but after reading this I thought I would ask the question Thankyou
  18. :confused1:forcast is strong winds with hail and thundery showers, might just call the day and do the job next week. Don't know what to do for the best:thumbdown:
  19. Kangoo with a full roof rack, fantastic flexible tool. The passenger seat folds down then the mesh bulk head (hinged) swings open and slots into place so you can put long item in and your protected by that too. I used to put a mobile tower on the top of mine... You can Do a lot in a KANGOO!
  20. 9 pin... CJ what happens to the torque?
  21. Hi Saw Troll, yes that's what I went for from Rob D. Pro lite 15" 150MPBK095 with the 95vpx narrow kerf cutting chain
  22. 576 on a 24 and 20" bar. Just put an 8 pin on it so will let you know how that goes but one thing about the 576 is that is simply the smoothest saw I have. Its a pre autotune, does feel heavy after using the 550 though. Hope this helps
  23. happy days
