2. Chaps, something came up in conversation today whilst trying to find my first tipper. There is a 110 that's having it chassis classification changed to 3500kg from 3000 whilst being overhauled. I didn't know that this could be done. Has anyone known of this in the past and will it effect ins. policies? thanks
  3. Please let me know too, as I'd like to know more about the details. Will wait to hear from you. Let me know All the best Nathan
  4. Hi Dorset, if you ring Adam at farm and forestry ltd near coleshill-atherstone in Warwickshire and say that Nathan Robinson gave you his name, he is one of the good guys. If you google his details and give him a bell he is sure to have his neck up to his a*** in a hedge somewhere.... All the best

Hi Peter,

I hope your ready for chrimbo...

Would you be able to give me a ring when your next at work please. I have possibly found a Ford Ranger to start up with, with the addition of one of your high sided folding lockable tippers, with a head board. I really don't want to furnish myself with mega finance to begin with so I wanted to start off with a modest truck. I would like to know a couple of bits of info before making contact with the seller.

a, Is the tipper, as a whole, transferable between makes? EG, can I go from an old style05plate doublecab Ranger to a newer version in the future or indeed to a different vehicle, like your new shape navara double cab?

b, I phoned you a while ago to get some costings and you told me that the folding lockable tipper was £2750+VAT. Would you confirm what the costing is please.

Many Thanks

    Dolmar saw?

Hi Shavey, thanks for the info, there's so much good news about the 550 and 560xp, from guys on here and my local shop, however, I cant help thinking that I might be missing something buying into stihl and husky, as they appear to be the norm, the standard if you like, dolmar & jonsered seem to have been around for donkeys too but which ones and parts... can I pick them up quick?

    Dolmar saw?

Ive a husky 576xpg, and its fab. Ive a ms261vw and its on its last life... Ive started looking into Jonsered and Dolmars in the area of 50cc+ to husky 390 territory. Dolmars seem to spin higher than huskys, or am I mistaken? I like the new flat bar look of them too on the cover side but am unsure if this is style over substance? What do you think?
  8. :001_smile:I would have done this last night but I went and wiped the sd card with all the latest pics... anyway heres proof!

  10. which one would be the best to use in terms of tools in and out chip waste weights, day to day running. I am pulling a cs100 and would do small to medium jobs with this set up. Bigger jobs are catered for with others kit. what do you think please

  14. Hi, its a mature sequoia with a diameter of 1.27-1.37m from memory. Ive ash coming up to but only small diameter, approx. 6" but straight, approx. 12ft lengths if this helps. I could do with a source to sell all wood to really, even if its fire wood? what do you think?
  15. hi does anyone know of a wood merchant who will buy main stem cord as your cutting? Would they be able to take away from sites and pay me for the wood? All the best
  16. According to the guys who service my transporter van, they aren't so good with the fuel filters blocking and engines could be problematic...
  17. Thanks Mark, does that make the wood brittle? Its approx 35 ft heigh, multi stem leaders from about 5ft. The base at 5ft is approx .75cm to .90cm

    Stihl MS 201t

Hi chaps, I have a 201 in std form, nice and strong. My mate runs a 200 and his is much more instant where as you have to spin mine up a bit to get it past the initial slow uptake. Im just getting used to it but my question is how can I make mine a little more instant on power like a 200 without going out to buy a 200? "How do I tune it up?" all the best

    ms 290?s

Hi, a ms290 was my first saw. Guys at UPM who cut all day long suggested it for me as I wanted an occasional use saw with guts. The sort of saw which starts when you want it and has some balance on a 16, without being a handful to use for an hour or 2//3rds of a day.I thought about selling that but Its been great with no probs and I keep this on the van just incase I get one stuck... I use mine for rough jobs, hedges and horrible stuff. Solid and strong. However, if you want something to use all day, most days then go for a ms260/261 if you can. Lighter and the 260 can be all the saw you could want for 75% of the time. The 261 is a flick able non too heavy saw on a 16" too. hope that helps, good luck
  24. fantastic pics, especially standing in whats left!
