  2. our Mountfield 725m is well over 10years old , only ever had to replace the cutter cable as is had been routed next to the exhaust, went to drive it outta the shed and it was making a loud clicking noise from the axle... stripped it down and the gears are all worn, went to local agent and they wanted £220 for a new axle even though its only the 4 gears I need. Any ideas on fixing the axle without spending so much moolah. Cheers Gav

  4. tis the season for noobie milling looking very good, even though I only had 2 trunks left to practice on it was a quick leaning curve, all the informitive reading and videos helped greatly

  10. cheers found it very rewarding and relaxing, first chain didnae cut very well so sharpened the spare chain was amazed how it helped the mill through the wood. Will try oot the 395 and the dc9010 on the other log tomorrow.
  11. well had a go at milling for the first time today, last piece left for today unsure what to do with it

  14. nice mixture of old and new money there, 8x 90ft Lombardy's on a 80ftlarge 2:1 embankment to be pollarded to 8m.
