  1. That is so beautiful in its simplicity and brevity whilst retaining the full force of brutal efficiency.... Love it ?
  2. ? did similar on a site clearance. Said it was for Tesco express just for shits & giggles ? That was a weekend job (so as to help 1 of the lads out with last minute childcare issues during the week) All hell broke loose - “....you’re doing this at the weekend because the council can’t see what you’ve done...” Reply, “...errr, madam, please refer to the consented planning application supporting documents online, and do you really think the trees that are removed over the weekend will somehow not still be removed come Monday morning..?” After the police attendance she was “advised” to disentangle herself from the hedgerow and go about her business...”
  3. Blah, blah..... Different name, same routine! Standing joke hereabouts: Whats yellow and sleeps 5? A Cormac van ?
  4. You jacked yours in didn’t ya? Only difference, he’s on a green leather chesterfield and yours had Severn Trent written on the side ????
  5. Nearly Summer, Meh! It was in full effect in Liskeard yesterday complete with street food BBQ!
  6. I’m kinda hoping that will provide the ‘intended’ search return and maybe also some pleasant distractions.... ?
  7. Can we have a look at it? I remember some pics from previous... I had the peach dug in within the far end of a cow shed which I'd glazed top and SE face but it never really established with any vigour (to be fair, I think it was too far away to receive full the attention it deserved and needed.)
  8. BBQ Chicken wrap with curly fries and a side salad ?
  9. Technically, my job was to sit and eat lunch in the conservatory at the leisure centre whilst watching someone else at work, but worthy of a share methinks. ?
  10. I had the peach tree out over winter. Simply couldnt bear the annual cycle of anticipation, then the excitement and then the inevitable despondency as the fruit never quite developed into anything other than pleasing on the eye. Bastard beat me - I do wonder if I caved in too soon though. ? Had some considerable success with limes, not so much the lemons. Figs and grape in abundance though ?
  11. Inclined to agree with Mark. Maybe the garage re-build should have taken account of the tree and properly accommodated it (and future growth potential) Unlees the garage has some over riding importance which supersedes TPO, best they might hope for is some pruning.
  12. Hard graft, not the most ‘fun’ of jobs but mortgage payments all day long! I did a shorter row (but bigger trees) a while back. Couldn’t face grinding them all so got a planer head for Multione so I can sit and drink coffee whilst dealing with the stumps. ??
  13. Just got this promo email from Orange Plant. A handy piece of kit but I'm not seeing a threat in price point or capability to MO. Undoubtedly a very handy piece of kit - esp with the tracks - but it's not really a contender. https://www.toro.com/en/professional-contractor/compact-utility-loaders/dingo-tx1000-wide-track
  14. Guilty pleasure watching it occasionally! The food is amazing - the scale obscene!!
  15. And portion control! They feckers eat WAY too much! I can fair tuck it away, but last trip to NYC saw me & the Mrs sharing a starter as a main course - it’s quite obscene how much those Yankees eat!
  16. Raises an interesting question - make your own = no CE/BSI, maybe non compliant PUWER, management of H&S etc. Which is all OK until it goes pear shaped. But are the Hywell/MO/Avant variants CE/BSI? it would matter if AAAC was at stake or if there was an HSE investigation.
  17. That’s a very comprehensive ad Alex. How many wankers messaged to ask price / colour / size / year / offers? Selling stuff really sucks, can’t be bothered with it. Guess it would be OK apart from the clowns you have to engage with.
  18. Can you stretch your budget? If yes, Have a look at this: https://www.stihl.co.uk/STIHL-Products/Chainsaws-and-Telescopic-Pole-Pruners/Cordless-Li-Ion-Chainsaws/22121-1583/MSA-200-C-BQ-cordless-electric-chainsaw.aspx you'd have to allow for battery + charger also but well worth a look! (forgot to mention, if you can get the one in the previous picture + the thing that's holding it in budget tell me where to go and I'm there tomorrow!) The 160 is a bit cheaper.... https://www.stihl.co.uk/STIHL-Products/Chainsaws-and-Telescopic-Pole-Pruners/Cordless-Li-Ion-Chainsaws/21856-1583/MSA-160-C-BQ-tool-only.aspx
  19. Hywell Evans have just posted their new version to FB. Most annoying thing, and I'm not at all sure I know why, is that pricing is always consciously omitted from any PR material. Why this has to be such a secret genuinely baffles me. Recent posts to both MO and Hywell Evans FB pages have all been - "...what is the price..?" Individual replies to all those people (in excess of 40 sometimes) must be a massive admin burden.
  20. Always got ‘em in the freezer here ?zzs, not so good as fresh from the window but needs must.
