  1. Raises an interesting question - make your own = no CE/BSI, maybe non compliant PUWER, management of H&S etc. Which is all OK until it goes pear shaped. But are the Hywell/MO/Avant variants CE/BSI? it would matter if AAAC was at stake or if there was an HSE investigation.
  2. That’s a very comprehensive ad Alex. How many wankers messaged to ask price / colour / size / year / offers? Selling stuff really sucks, can’t be bothered with it. Guess it would be OK apart from the clowns you have to engage with.
  3. Can you stretch your budget? If yes, Have a look at this: https://www.stihl.co.uk/STIHL-Products/Chainsaws-and-Telescopic-Pole-Pruners/Cordless-Li-Ion-Chainsaws/22121-1583/MSA-200-C-BQ-cordless-electric-chainsaw.aspx you'd have to allow for battery + charger also but well worth a look! (forgot to mention, if you can get the one in the previous picture + the thing that's holding it in budget tell me where to go and I'm there tomorrow!) The 160 is a bit cheaper.... https://www.stihl.co.uk/STIHL-Products/Chainsaws-and-Telescopic-Pole-Pruners/Cordless-Li-Ion-Chainsaws/21856-1583/MSA-160-C-BQ-tool-only.aspx
  4. BRILLIANT!!!!!
  5. Hywell Evans have just posted their new version to FB. Most annoying thing, and I'm not at all sure I know why, is that pricing is always consciously omitted from any PR material. Why this has to be such a secret genuinely baffles me. Recent posts to both MO and Hywell Evans FB pages have all been - "...what is the price..?" Individual replies to all those people (in excess of 40 sometimes) must be a massive admin burden.
  6. Always got ‘em in the freezer here ?zzs, not so good as fresh from the window but needs must.
  7. ? I know... But had to be done ?
  8. Be a bit chewy for breakfast ?
  9. That's some sweeeeeet gear!
  10. Yes, it came out with some digging and pushing - made a right mess!
  11. I've got no idea what calories I pull per day, should try and work it out some time. I'm just shy of 16 stone at moment.
  12. Was all going along nicely today until we got the tele-handler in up to it's balls!
  13. Big old unit! Taking it for firewood? Is it any good? Did a medium one last week, was going to leave the wood in the hedge but my mate is keen to haul it out. Not sure if it's worth the effort.
  14. Serious? I can do that at 09:00 and a large steak pasty + a cake at lunch time!! I'm on my fifth heart attack though....
  15. Don't do it on the hoof! If it's worth eating, it's worth sitting down for!! Beauty in Plymuff last week!!
  16. I'll take the common ground as a positive ??
  17. No need mucker!
  18. ? I will take that as a compliment Sir.... ?
  19. Caught me with my pants down! Needed long lens and camera battery was flat. By the time it was charged, was too late!
  20. ??? Was watching it just yesterday from kitchen window! Tele=handler with spud box containing clown with chainsaw hanging out the side blocking the traffic whilst lopping limbs into the road.... And they wonder why the Ag sector features so highly in HSE death and seriously injured stat's...
  21. Feel you! Yesterday, to follow up a phone enquiry, went to see a geez with a 'tree problem.' He's done TPO app himself for neighbour's trees - made an ass of it, came back refused, no surprise. He say's "...can you do an app for me, I did last one, it's free..." What he actually meant was - I don't expect you to charge for submitting the app. My reply "...submitting the form is free, putting the right content into the form before it's submitted makes the difference between approval and refusal, and that ain't free..." If folk think they can "do it themselves" why have they called somebody else to do it for them?
  22. I guess the Jokes thread is as good as any for this: https://mobile.twitter.com/lowtaxchloe/status/1093489289592258560?s=12
  23. Seems perfectly innocent, even reasonable perhaps when put like that. But this is SNP territory and shouldn’t be taken as innocently as first presentation might suggest. After all, 2 squid on £200 hotel room is peanuts and completely insignificant. Not quite so insignificant on a £20/night hostel though. £2 today x the number of hotel accommodation beds in Scotland = a very tidy sum of money. How long before the SNP come to rely upon it, overspend it and before you know it, it’s £3 or £4 or £5 per night. The UK desperately needs tax simplification NOT more stand alone taxes.
