  1. I'm not sure where you actually live but if you have an accident in 'certain areas', have the police advised you to drive away and go to the nearest police station to report it? Does your wife get spat at because she's white? Are cars set alight and the fire brigade stoned when they attend? You have a rose tinted view of 'a fully integrated and harmonious society', many wish and live that but plenty don't! And none of the above is off the Internet or other media, I've lived in these places and witnessed everything I'm asking you. Areas twenty years ago that I'd comfortably walk through at midnight, I wouldn't walk through now in daylight because of my skin colour.
  2. Much better explained and remembered than me:biggrin:
  3. That's close enough for a Friday night, it's been a long week.
  4. I think Charles Biddle said that the 'water demand category' was a classification requested by Insurers in an attempt to pigeon hole tree species. I got the impression that he wasn't too keen about the term at all.
  5. Sat at home last night wondering how they get badger hair for brushes? Sad to admit it, but I looked it up:blushing:
  6.
  7. Ordered some Taylors soap, last night. I didn't realise the multitude of pre-shave oils, soaps, balms and blades out there. Still, with the saving on cartridges, one can afford to be a little self-indulgent. Even if you do end up smelling like a tarts handbag Felix:001_tt2:
  8. I wondered about the shavette, don't think I'll bother. Used the DB for the first time last night, what a difference. Even using normal shaving foam, no soap yet, no rash or redness at all this morning. I'm converted.
  9. Think he was looking to buy some new bulk bags and saw some at a good price, then wondered how logs would do in them. Planting bags are/were black inside- presumably to help keep the humidity high to stop toots drying out. Don't shoot the messenger, anyway:biggrin:
  10. Fourteen weeks of paid holiday accordingly to the new white paper. Thanks Brexit:biggrin:
  11. :lol:Think you're getting confused with The vasectomy thread
  12. I've a couple of rotties, usually best to leave them home.
  13. Person who asked me said the white bags get dirty and don't look so good, was wondering if black would be better in that aspect. I was tempted to reply that it would be easier to sort his yard out, but bit my tongue.
  14. My thoughts too. A broader view of the tree would help.
  15. Play nice Felix:biggrin:
  16. I've been asked today about using black bulk bags instead of white. Does anybody use them, any advantages/disadvantages over white? I'm thinking that black would retain humidity within the bag, but just guessing on that.
  17. I have various exfoliates and balms, but never really know if they're any good. 'Names' mean higher prices, but probably doesn't indicate that they work any better than others. Was pondering this this morning using Ted Baker face wash, Beckhams deodrant etc I think I have too much time on my hands sometimes:biggrin:
  18. Waiting for a double edged razor to come today, after giving up on cartridge razors.
  19. Ya want danger money for kicking twigs out of the Rd?
  20. Certain types of 'massage parlours', Or so my younger colleagues tell me!
  21. Speak for yourself, I rather turn the phone off! No longer get exited going out in the dark, rain and wind to clear up a mess generally that was blindingly obvious failure prone anyway.
  22. Wouldn't suggest trying that with the 'learned gentleman' personally!
  23. No idea tbh, but if the judge decided that you were interrupting the court (if you were actually in court), I think you'd be in contempt if you carried on. Whether that applies outside of the court, I don't know.
  24. So true:biggrin:
  25. Forgot about that thread - I'll re-read it when I get home. I'm assuming the LA have a definition (their own definition), that has been written, even adopted by the council, that Planning Committee members actually consult when considering objections to TPO's? Sorry, I'm a bit peevish today, a client got a TPO saturday (I did warn him) subsequent to a 211 notice I'd served. I wasn't, so came into the office this afternoon to start firing missiles reminding Planning, Legal, Head of the Council and TO's that they have a duty to inform me. Searched the 2012 Regs for the relevant sections and started composing the letter - postman came with my copy of the TPO. With all the recent aggro, I was all fired up to get some knocks back at em too:lol:
