  1. If she does, don't forget to concentrate on your stroke! Sorry, didn't realise there was a second page.
  2. Site I copied off said 5000 was very good
  3. This number is the measurement that is used to judge the level of waterproofness of a fabric. The test involves placing a long column on top of a sample of the garment's material, then filling it with water. The water level is increased until the fabric starts to leak. I
  4. Excuse my ignorance, but where is the chat room? I know I've been there before, but can't find it now:blushing: Edit. Guess it's under the big yellow button saying CHAT on the banner.
  5. Unfortunately a traffic officer once told me, that they get so many stolen vehicle notifications unless yours is actually in front of them when it comes through, they probably wouldn't clock it fifteen minutes later. That was before the days of ANPR though.
  6. do it in someone elses kitchen!
  7. Not a bad read, from what I can remember, to give an overall outlook. Probably not detailed enough if you are studying but worth a tenner.
  8. Anyone who talks about will be involved in a RTA in an underpass! The Royal Warrent affords all sorts of protection ya know.
  9. I only remembered last night, thought I'd missed out.
  10. Good news Kevin:thumbup1: Hope it sorts itself out, but what I would say is don't be a hero if the pain returns or worsens. You're not wasting the A&E staffs time, Be safe. Gary
  11.:lol: Don't google it ffs, you'll be ringing the undertakers. I didn't have it in the end, just badly bruised ribs (twice) but every breath was pure agony. The real consolation is that you're in the right place, right now. Lay on the pain aspect and get some good stuff to relieve that:thumbup1:
  12. I wouldn't look into this too much, you'll only worry yourself. If you're 'waiting' for treatment, I wouldn't be too concerned myself because if it's real serious they'd be sticking things in you right now. I went in with a suspected pneumothorax after a chest trauma/suspected broken rib and until they knew different it was treated as an emergency. Keep calm, breath and good luck.
  13. I was trying to be a bit more diplomatic.
  14. You may be able to enlighten me a bit on this Paul (as an ex-TO). How much actual work is involved in creating a TPO? Reading the literature as to what has to be done, It doesn't come across as that time consuming - getting a map, marking and identifying the trees and creating the notice (most of which is generally standard apart from the actual designation. Then it has to be recorded in the register. Would it be reasonable to say that it would take a working day for one officer? I'm just curious after reading the Isle of Wights cost's/budget projections to resurvey all of their protected trees a while back. In reponse to your and Oslac's comments, I think we're pretty much screwed until there are arboriculturists involved, in an advisory capacity, at the higher government levels. Until then it'll be okay to fell Ancient Woodland for roadlinks - as long as they plant some trees elsewhere:001_rolleyes:
  15. I voted for bent banana's:thumbup1:
  16. Your considered opinion, because they disagree with you?
  17. In short, the system isn't perfect.
  18. After our anvil went through, the rollers would only work in reverse. Redwood told us to look at the gap at the flywheel sensor - the whole assembly had been shunted through the bearings, moving it towards the engine.
  19. It'll be an interesting read when the judgement becomes available. I'm struggling to understand the acceptance of 'No works' as meaning not surveyed?
  20. Public finance initiative, a different animal entirely
  21. Most authorities can barely afford to do essential works, including inspections, so how would they fund hysteria felling?
  22. https://www.11kbw.com/blogs/local-government-law/roadside-trees/1167
  23. I got one of those, but deleted it rather than opening it. Better safe than sorry.
  24. Do you get badges for these, like the scouts?
