  1. I live in Oldham, we only get blue sky and good light for two days a year. But, realising this I have found my digital camera - no charger or leads yet, and promise to try to improve:blushing: Tbh, we both had to look at the tree twice to identify that...... It's grim up north.
  2. Paul's not actually that old:biggrin: but he'll feel it if he keeps climbing on a prussic. £150 over ten years v knackered wrists and elbows. (assuming infrequent usage)
  3. No worries at all, Jules, I'm sure that you've enough to do at the moment. Been back to the tree and managed to harvest a bracket or two. They've lost a lot of colour over the last week, so fairly confident that they're oysters. Pleurotus ostreatus - or rather Mattmoss is:biggrin: I'm disappointed now, cos I thought I'd found something fruiting at an unusual time of year.
  4. It has been a while since you were climbing Paul, hasn't it:001_tt2: Fixed your basic kit list for you:biggrin:
  5. And so did loads of other bikers. When I finally got around to applying for my plastic licence, I 'lost' my paper original one. Fortunately, after the new one arrived- with all the correct entitlements, I found it again.
  6. No, ive found out !!! You go full on the sack of Bolam! Google Translate may still need a little work!
  7. Your point was taken the first time:biggrin: Despite all the FFBs, I thought it would have been more degraded/dysfunctional than it actually was - admitted only skipped through it looking at the fungi cos I'm still at work:sneaky2: (CPD made me watch it)
  8. Doesn't it have to be a pollard, before it becomes a 'lapsed pollard', chronologically speaking?
  9. May be wrong, but I thought that logs had been approved for use in 'smoke free areas' a few years back? Could the council, dare I say, not be quite up to date?
  10. Keep at it, it's all you can do! Good luck
  11. Is that boris Johnson?
  12. So, to try to stop getting hacked again I've looked at the two step authentication. Set it up on my private email account, no real problem. Go into work this morning to discuss doing this with all the work accounts. First obstacle, no one knows there passwords to even sign in. Okay, I'll do my own, what's the Apple ID and password for the app? No-one knows. Get into that with security questions and then get told that due to major security changes (new password) you can't get the authentication app for two days. Try to explain the two step process to the wife, who uses a pin sentry for online banking, "So I get a device?", "No, you use an App on your phone!" "Do I get a card, that I put in my phone?" "No!" "I don't use my phone to access my email" "Doesn't matter, the app is on your phone, to give a number to sign in" "But I don't use my phone to look at emails and what's an App?" :banghead:
  13. Lots of people think I'm 'Special'
  14. I did a tractor test, while working for an LA, and realised watching others that by simply adjusting the mirrors I'd be able to actually see the traffic cones:thumbup1:
  15. Better that, than the other way round.
  16. That's me screwed then, no more fungi questions.
  17. The proof for prosecution needs to be a bit more than that, unfortunately.
  18. Fees in all the Manchester boroughs are around the £400 mark:thumbdown:
  19. Think that they're beech, so they may be too far 'lapsed' to come back.
  20. Two hundred trees felled illegally (From South Wales Argus) But Manchester plans to plant 3 million http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/science-environment-38692022
  21. Tablet, PC, Laptop or i-phone, depending where I am. I-phone of an evening, while watching telly and listening to the wife.
  22. Ever thought of being a politician, Steve? Obviously you've the ability to cut through all the irrelevant issues and identify the critical point in the topic.
