  1. Just realised where your based via your facebook page, which i liked We have a landscaping job we are slowly getting done in between other work in Hever Road! Think i've seen your sign board? Small world
  2. They certainly are, the time saving is huge also considering the size and spec of the job. And of course that ability to pull out and back and over the tree to view it from a distance is great. Add in the Stein radio ear defenders and the job was very smooth indeed. Best to contact cannon access directly for a quote then they can factor in the delivery costs etc for you, [email protected] or 01621 816892
  3. Working height x outreach that is
  4. Hi Jay It tops out at 27m height and 15.5m outreach. Here is the data sheet on it: They also have Omme 2600 access platform with a working height of 27.5m/90ft, but thats a straight boom and not articulated. More here: Boom lifts, cherry pickers, scissor lifts of all types for hire from Cannon Access And no i dont work for them
  5. Just to follow this up, here is a short video from last week of Tom's Omme 2750RXJ when we used it for an Oak and conifer reduction. A very capable machine and excellent service from Cannon Access
  6. Thank you kindly It really is a great machine and I am so glad we found Cannon on here! Hopefully we will get more opportunities to make some more videos using this machine and others in the future
  7. Last week we had the Omme 2750RXJ from Cannon Access on a job. Bit of fun using only my camera phone to shoot this video but gives everyone an idea of its very awesome capabilities. Roll on Christmas for a GoPro [/url]
  8. CW plant, national company with a place in SE london, or Ashford Cannon plant, advertise on here, very good service, contact Tom Cannon or Boom lifts, cherry pickers, scissor lifts of all types for hire from Cannon Access
  9. Excellent news, well done
  10. Theres a 10m long one here: Dog Lead flexi Giant Professional 10m| Free P&P £29+ at zooplus! Often thought the same thing about retrieving things!
  11. Sounds like, dodgy without a photo, two days work (given shorter days currently) two men to get it down, perhaps another half day if the timber is all to be logged up. Ball park is 800 - 900. I try and avoid going over over a grand for small two day jobs where possible as i think, from experience i know, that it puts people off just looking at the figure! 75 mile round trip will need a 5 to 5.30am get up to get on site for 8, especially for me who likes my brekky
  12. I have my saw, there are many like it but this one is mine... I aint telling what they are, how many i have or where they are cos this is an open forum
  13. As above. Also highlight that you pay the insurance, running costs, saw & machinery maintenance costs etc. What you charge someone out for is not what they get paid. That's how business works. If in doubt, ask them if they ask for a discount at the checkout in their chosen supermarket.
  14. When I view things such as these I struggle to comprehend the need or meaning of war, suffering and world debt. We should all just be one on this little rock and get along. One day, hopefully not soon, there will be another rock that comes along and wipes us out of existence. Be well.
  15. Had to rig down a conifer on a job recently at our local hire shop. Its located on an industrial estate and people who catch the train park along the road outside the fence. The first day there was a smart car under the tree but we just top tip tied and lowered and then walked the pieces out of there straight to the chipper. We kept the car blown off of sawdust occasionally just in case the owner came back. Apparently the owners face was a picture when they returned to find out the tree they parked next to was no long there The second day we arrived before the commuters and annoyed a few by removing 5 spaces out of use for the mewp
  16. Never have enough key rings, and yes if we are selected I request some freebies
  17. Before the age of spark arrestors too I guess
  18. Think it definitely needs something, its like the exhaust port is open under the 'tray' that can be seen in the pic. No wonder its loud :-S More googling required by the looks of it
  19. i made up spreadsheets, one for when the item was purchased, where from, first used, and when its due for replacement, plus the invoice number (copies in the folder) etc AND then another one for regular inspection which i tend to do every other week as I do not use the kit every day.
  20. Hi all I have been given a 1980's Pro Mac 55 by a friend who knows i like to fiddle in the work shop Having cleaned it out earlier of composted oily sawdust crud I thought I would run it up and see how it goes. 4th pull on the original fuel in it and away she goes. How LOUD?!?! Geeze it was noisy! Anyway, I was looking at the side of the cylinder block and it appears to have scope for an optional exhaust muffler?? Having googled the model there seems to be some with a muffler and some without and then there are some without but with a plate over the exhaust shown below to 'cap' it? Does anyone have one? Know about this muffler or care to comment? Thanks in advance as always

  22. Blatantly, Mel on the other hand is fresh as a daisy
  23. I'm struggling to see the resemblance personally
  24. Oh how it makes my blood boil! Trust me if we ever came across someone onsite with hand on our kit they wouldnt be able to write for a while in the very least! Oh hang on... can they anyway??!?!
