  1. You can keep that lot. I will just stick to repairing them. But then after some have tried a few tricks then some might come along.:lol: It is a bit easy once he theory has been sorted. But in practice it gets a bit harder.
  2. Ah well you see its to get round the towing laws. I'm going on that if the towing vehicle has no max tow weight then it can tow well loads. The mowed is on hold until a new battery turns up. Onto the 100hp outboard instead. Oh and the list of mowers and saws that seem to be getting longer every time I check the phone messages.
  3. Rolls of the tounge Just took me 4 attempts to try and read it in my head...
  4. Oh so the truth rears its head at last.:lol: Always thought there was something going on....
  5. Coming soon to my bench. A Yamaha 100hp outboard. Ok so not actually going on my bench but staying on the boat. The owner took the boat out the other week and it stalled out and wouldn't restart. He manages to start it now but it runs for five mins and cuts out again. Looking at that one at the weekend.
  6. Have a read of this one. http://arbtalk.co.uk/forum/general-chat/58743-help-please-thread-gone-088-a.html
  7. For those who are not tree savvy what are the FC guidelines please.
  8. Now you have to see who will stock your new gear pat. Ask jonsie if you could do a trial run in how place. A bit of market research.....
  9. Exactly what you just said. Kickback can happen if the flywheel key has gone or the flywheel has moved. This will cause kickback more than once or twice bit every time you try to start it. Check the plug. I would at a guess say clogged exhaust. And the exhaust gasses are travelling backwards into cylinder rather than making there escape.
  10. Depending on the missis probably less material is better
  11. I reckon they are waiting. It's the show soon.............
  12. The husky I had is now done and returned. Was a nice saw. Did look and it didn't have heated handles. So maybe a different pull start assembly. Might have a smaller husky coming my way. One the bloke wants to sell on. Maybe one for spud to port if I get it. Don't know the number. Will find out this week when I go to look at it.
  13. Normally just below me. Is the loop but the knot is is about waist height. So when I lift up I can still reach it with my hand. I saw it in a book the other half got me. Tree climbers companion. Had a lot of neat tricks in it. This one, as you can see its had some use and reading.
  14. Yeah I tried one but just couldn't get on with it. The rope kept coming out, it was pulling the rope up with it. Just turned into more time spent sorting it than using it. Footlocking is easy for me and it just worked. The prussik loop using as a foot loop worked great and I could see it could be used with spike on aswell. Plus when one leg gets tired just swap to the other. But then I'm in no way a climber. Just tried it for some fun.
  15. I don't get it Paul. So why was the thread closed temp so you could do what? Sorry bud, just trying to find out what you have down to it.
  16. It's for that felling lazer thingy that you can get. Or for the light sabre when bars and chains become redundant. Husky are well ahead of the competition.
  17. Ok. Mine is on a skywalker pulley aswell. Just me worrying about the pulley metal failing then. Looks good. I have tried a pantin before but foun footlocking worked better for me. Or a prussik as a foot loop and sliding it up then putting foot in it to lift body up.
  18. I feel sick.......
  19. Ok. No problem. Just thought using the pulley as a load bearing was a bit dodgy as the carabs are stronger than the pulley and less likely to fail. Just me then. Cheers for that info.
  20. Looking at the pic mat. There is one thing. It doesn't look right to me but have you got the pulley load bearing? If the pulley fails its the only thing stopping the rope ends parting. Sorry but to me it doesn't look right! Does anyone else feel the same, or see the same thing?
  21. There for the zombie apocalypse so you can bolt it to the front of a motorbike....
  22. I did have this with mine at first. New ropes and all. I found that the rope wasn't "bending" causing it to grip. In the knot. This I found was due to the pulley being too close to the knot and not having enough slack. This was what I found anyway.
  23. You and me both.... Think there was a post that was removed. Or a member.... Can't view the vid as its not available on mobile.
  24. So with that response then those who know about these saws will also know it has been run ragged and probably not at it best. So those who know will steer clear!!!! Or will they. I'm keeping an eye on this one. Could be good for parts.
  25. Clean your what in the morning??? Looking forward to it Justin. Just pray the weather holds up. Where is peckerwoo when you need him......
