  1. Now that is a strange one. Well spotted but. In some pics it looks like its missing. But in the last pic looks like its there.
  2. If she has paid for all the work to date. Cut the rest and move on. If she hasn't paid for the recent work cut your losses and move on. Some people can't be helped.
  3. Well for £24 for a new battery can't really go wrong much. It's just one thing to eliminate before moving on.
  4. Sorry Barrie. really didn't mean not to include in this one. If arbtalk had a conference message option I would have done. Well. I will start form what I know so far. The bike will start perfectly when cold in the morning. It will also run well and goes like stink. But after a trip to the shops a few miles away and stopping it for to do in shops when returned it will not start. But once cold will start again. Once bumped it will start very easy. As in one turn of engine and away it goes. Drive it back again and stop it it will not start. But put a jump start on it and it will fire right up. So done a comp test and it was 90psi. This being hot or cold or with a teaspoon of oil down pot. So with low comp I wouldn't expect it to not start easily when bumping or with a jump start on it. There is no kick start on it to try it bypassing the starter motor. So with the fact it starts easily with a bump or a jump that more or less rules out comp. So all that's left it spark. The fuel is good and getting in there so not that. The coil is electric coil.
  5. Pm you.
  6. Spot on there man. Exactly what it is. From a malagati drakon. Hdk 50cc. Having issues with not starting when hot. So bit like a saw was going for piston and cylinder. But the bike will bumb start instantly so not a lack of compression. So going for starter circuit starving spark when turning over, so new battery on its way. Just having a conflab with spud over pm yesterday to confirm or deny what I was thinking about it. With a bit of brainstorming thrown in aswell. So some good guesses but I'm afraid its not some stinking great saw design. If it was it would more likely be a 500cc engine.
  7. What they both said.
  8. Mine is now aswell. Thanks for the conference over it. It's nice to get a second opinion sometimes. Ok so now for the fun part. Can anyone guess what the pictures are of or for. And no cheating by using the google image info thingy.....
  9. It's a secret. I'm not allowed. If I did I would have to kill you.
  10. Depends on how many is a few. And there location. Opposite ones arnt really a problem. Only one or two tho. If they are in a line then you could have balance issues.
  11. Oh dear. His username is aspenkit.............. Hahaha look forward to the mower with the 1000cc motorbike engine when you do it Barrie. Will pull in more views than spuds porting jobs.
  12. Now look what you have started gardenkit.
  13.:lol: Or it would be full of swearing. Apparantly I have a foul mouth sometimes. But then you also wouldn't be able to see what I was doing because of the junk spread across the bench. Just getting in there before anyone else wants to start. :001_tt2:
  14. Halfords. Gunson high gauge petrol engine tester. £25 when I got mine a year ago.
  15. They don't allow dirty videos on there Barrie. Lmao. Looking foward to a few more info vids tho. I should really start doing some aswell.
  16. Please don't take that to the show. If the missis sees that my bank account will be emptied.
  17. Now Barrie. Where have I seen that bench before. The voice sounds very familiar aswell. I would have loved to have been able to do it that way I really would. It needed to be that size of housing yet the spring was four times the length of that one. Really wish I had got some pics of it.
  18. Hmm. That's some good info there. All important question. Can you see if its more economical than the petrol or about the same? I'm interested now as I know eddie was looking into the outboard market aswell.
  19. Sure am. Second from the right. The two near the bow. Was a bit of pr.
  20. And here is the picture of the pot and piston assembly. A new one I know but the same.
  21. Here is the parts diagram.
  22. Ah that would be the first one. Ours is called the city of London 2 (in Roman numerals) Here is a pic. Sorry the pic is of RNLB the will. This was our relief boat while the city of London was away having a 5 mill refit. But same looking boats.

Three callouts ove rather weekend. One was a speedboat with engine failure and drifting into he shipping lanes. Towed back into shore and recovered. Second was an inflatable in the water off folkestone. No one in it and it was just drifting, full area search by us and coastguard mobile team. Nothing seen. Third was flares off the beach. About a mile out. A rib was having engine trouble, was overheating. Not a good thing to happen in a large rib. Mechanics attended to the ribs engine and managed to sort the issue. The thermostat wasn't working so no water was getting into it. Soon sorted and rib escorted back in. A busy one.
  24. No its right alongside the quay. Just have to go down a few steps along a pontoon and its away. Gardenkit says we are pansies as we have about with a lid. A Severn class lifeboat. That reminds me. Had a few callouts this weekend and havnt put them up on my RNLI thread. Will go do it now.
  25. Not if you just use the replacement blades without bolting them on....
