Thoughts are with the family of a man who's aircraft crashed into the channel earlier today. The wreckage has been located but the pilot has not.
  2. As far as I can see you have cleared nothing up. And stihl do not have the users interest at heart. Only there dealers. The number is the basic number. Try calling it and complaining, see how far you get. Hahaha, yeah send it back for a broken brake band that maybe 20quid, and then cost god knows what in postage and fitting costs, or do it yourself and lose an hours downtime...... Wounder what one users would prefer. Hahaha report to stihl, that's a good one....... Yeah, my car manual says that aswell. Think the local land rover dealer is interested in a disco 1 1990...... Due to stihls other policy regarding selling there gear, and if anyone wants to know it, a showroom space alongside workshop, VAT registered and maintained, and a turnover of stihl products of 30,000 per annual.. Small dealers are forced by this to try and sell new gear all the time to keep it up.... All your posts sound like stihl themselves. You havnt given your dealership name either. IMO this thread needs removing as all its doing is inflaming more hatred towards stihl......
  3. Nah can't be. I scratch and play with mine all the time..... Seriously always check. But then there is a time and place and the police and public don't take it too well doing it in public like on the beach.
  4. That's cool. The exact way I'm doing it then. The dealer policy is IMO a bit wrong to be honest, but I guess that's jut stihl for you. You had to didn't you?? Go on ruin it for the rest of us! We like to dream thank you. :001_tt2::lol:
  5. Good luck with it Tom. You going balls in with the stihl dealership or just looking at sub dealer?? I found there policy on selling there gear as a main dealer not worth the hassle. It could cripple a small business in the first year.
  6. Yeah he did...... Well you know what they say about that lot over there in Devon.... What a naughty boy. I hope you have reported that disgusting post...... Oh Barrie when you read this I was down the beach today and done some rock balancing... Yes it didn't last long. Other half has a pic on her phone so will upload it later....
  7. So has he set up shop now then???
  8. So it comes up in google as a terminated number and a spam number. Also a number from arbtalk. Tom2020 has it on a post...... http://arbtalk.co.uk/forum/employment/32652-groundsman-trainee-climber-derby-notts-mans-grantham.html Confused.com..........
  9. Ok so last one. I have got a link I can put up to the war and peace show gallery. There are a lot more pics on that. If anyone wants it.
  10. Ok so a few more on there way.
  11. I'm there both days and camping with the lady. Already know a few at kingswood but will be great to finally meet a few on arbtalk.
  12. Yeah I also need to renew my passport aswell. And hat costs a small fortune aswell.... I was going to do a trip around and see who on arbtalk is about when I go. Meet a few faces over a pint Next year I'm booking holidays up and just going. Working hard is putting a bit of stress on family life at the mo. boy is growing up fast and really don't want to miss doing anything fun with him until its too late. I had great memories of Cornwall and the fresh milk every morning straight from the tank. And playing in that scenery and the great outdoors.
  13. Ok. So it just must be me then. I hate travelling. Hate planes. Not narrow minded, just don't like it. Headaches and all. Holidays are always near by. Well not many miles away anyway. In uk. Next year is travelling to Cornwall, and up and back through Somerset. Then home. If I get a caravan sorted by then that is.
  14. First would be a comp test. Second would be checking there is a spark. As the plug has to come out for the some test. Then would be getting fuel, so is the plug wet. Then it would be a crab clean and also check the metering height. Along with this would also be checking the tank vent is working ok. There is a hill billy check on the vent by emptying the fuel tank and blowing don the fuel pipe. If it holds a pressure its fine. If you can suck it, or create a vacuum its not. The vent works one way. Allows you to pressure the tank but not create a vacuum.
  15. If that's a greenmech it could be the oldest one going. Bet if you put a new battery and some fresh fuel in that landy it would fire straight up...
  16. Yeah ok. So not so much want to face that dog on a bad day.... There was one going about where they would mark houses with markers that had dogs for dog napping. Either paints or stickers on gates or paths. Also heard about one where if you had dogs and they wanted to break in they would throw rancid laced meat over the fence and just wait a couple of days, then chances are that the dog would be ill and couldn't do anything allowing them to break in. To sure how true this one is tho. Only heard it once.
  17. Got to say I love saws that come in bits. I also love jig saw puzzles..... I normally play "guess what parts missing" before I start the reassembly....
  18. The port of Dover so you CAN get out of the country.
  19. I really wasn't trying to start anything bud. If it looked that way I'm sorry. Just tried to clear some confusion (that you started ) Anyway. Surprisingly no. All has been quiet this week with the boat. Almost too quiet...... Now I'm sitting here waiting for the bleep bleep bleep of the pager. Sod's law. Either no boats have been out, or people are getting smarter. Busiest shipping lane in the world and possibly busiest port in England with the quietest lifeboat station on the planet..... so for now its on and enjoying the wrk.
  20. Agreed. Idiots cutting down trees. Nuff said really..
  21. Ok this is the one I'm seeing. It is the cutter that gets knocked out. But he is on a ladder and not at the base. It looks like it but if you look at the height of the tree in front of him he is up higher than the ground level on a ladder or steps. As the butt falls he gets knocked of the steps or ladder and taken to the ground on the right. It doesn't look like he is on anything but going by the sourounding trees and bushes he is.
  22. Ahem. Right back to the manly stuff,,... Porting, big bores, drilled exhausts, vroom vroom vroom......
  23. Brilliant. Getting in some practice for the arb show????
