  1.:lol: I've got to say. That's all brilliant. Having a right good laugh. Yes chain is on backwards. No that's not me, that would be D A tree surgeons wearing his wife's knickers. Wait til he reads that bit. He not going to hear the end of it. Oh and the chain being on backwards is me :blushing: I was trying to save the trees. Swapped the bar from a big bar to a smaller bar in the morn for a job. It was spotted before it was used. And nothing wrong with that colour on a 088. My excuse was I had a motorbike problem filling my head when I changed the bar......... That's my excuse.
  2. What's wrong with this saw??? Anyone want to guess.
  3. I had to have a goo chuckle over this one.
  4. What I love about doing what I do. Every now and again something different comes along. A malaguti 50cc moped. This has been giving some trouble from day 1, it wouldn't start again after a run, engine would turn over fine but just wouldn't fire. Now bump start it and it would instantly start. So first was a comp test. Was at 90-95 psi. Hot or cold and with some oil in pot. Now this being a bit low it wouldn't explain why it would start very easily on a bump. If bumping it and it would take a long run to get it going I would look further at comp. but it doesn't. So next up was a spark test, spark will jump a 4-5mm gap. So nice and strong. Battery is good, spark is good, fuel is getting trough as plug is wet. It's one of those faults that is hard to get on top of as its normally through running.
  5. Cor two days and counting. Really can't wait. Not sur did I'm more happy about going to the show or just getting away for a night....... Yep definatly the show.
  6. The valve on my gunston compression tester has failed. I know there was some info about this a while ago. Did anyone come up with a replacement valve? Before I go out and buy a new one.
  7. Hey. LR don't leak oil they simply mark there spot.
  8. Ok spud. Will check it over none the less. Like to send it up in good working order. On a side note WTF is going on with the quote thing??
  9. The only way to test the crank seals are vac and pressure test. The rest is as spud said.
  10. Cool will check that tomoz and give it a turn. Thought I would ask before I go stripping it down. To be honest I havnt even looked at the plug. I don't know why but I havnt checked this saw over. Just started using it. For a person who fixes machines and preaches about checking plug colours and filters etc i havnt done it to my own saw.......
  11. Right I'm going to try again... Ok so startling from cold. Choke out, pull, tries to fire, choke off, saw runs one third pull, pull trigger to come off half choke saw dies, if I fettle the throttle (think 200t) saw will run after a short while. After this it will run perfect, cut well. Stop it quick and it will fire and tick over fine. Stop for a few minutes and go to start again it won't tick over. Put choke on then off and the saw fires on half choke, but as soon as throttle trigger pulled it dies, have to fettle it again. Hope that's more clear bud.
  12. Using the 351 today. The saw is ok.... Would still swap for a good stihl tho... It has one niggle. Once its fired up I put choke on. Then choke off, I touch the trigger and it does. Does this a couple of times and have to fettle the throttle until it fires up nicely. It runs perfect after. But switch off and leave for a bit and I have the same problem. So husky guru! What could it be? I haven't taken it apart yet to have a look.
  13. Basically an 020, rear handle. The clam shell engines are where the lower crank case is attached to the pot. Not the pot attached to the whole crank case and base of a saw. If that makes sense. There are a few videos of clam shell on youtube. So the whole engine comes out in one rather than just the pot. I don't think these saws have them. Just think 200, there are a few differences when you get into it. Does it run? The chain break is attached to the side cover bit like some husky saws. The brake handle is on the handle but it runs through to the cover, you may find dining a new side cover being a pig.
  14. That is awesome. Wouldn't have expected a reaction like that from a dog. Mans best friend,
  15. Sorry ed but this just came to mind. [ame=http://m.youtube.com/watch?v=bG6ICFL7AdI]Simpsons clip 2 "Chainsaw Gang" - YouTube[/ame]

  19. Ok a good old friend of mine is doing a Rome or bust run. He is funding the whole thing from his own pocket so all the money raised can go to charity. It's a charity that helps children with hirschsprung disease. It basically a run in a car that cost no more than £350 and with no help or backup recovery. Then he has to turn the car around and come home in it. Personally I think he is nuts, but for a good cause anything seems normal. Will get him to come on arbtalk once I send him a link. The charity helps children with Thai disease that basically effects the bowl. Any help anyone can give will be very gratefully received. http://www.justgiving.com/Sam-down
  20. Yeah suppose. Just looked like the handle was moving more than the engine.
  21. Oh come on. That 200 wasn't even ported. Give it a chance.... I did notice the movement on the rear plastics on that husky. Made it look like vibration would be an issue. It's not as bad as it looks is it?
  22. Mate had 2 batteries nicked from his 360 a while ago...... Must have been a good walk with them the 500 yards to the road.
  23. Someone's got there grand kids over??!
  24. Welease bwian............
