  1. I would be there like a shot kicking his door in.
  2. Well thanks Barrie. There goes my dream for tonight. There's always one
  3. Sorry Tom but I have now gone completely off your avatar girl...
  4. From what I saw at the show you don't stop mate. I switch off and forget EVERYTHING. not just work but everything when I go to the lifeboat. Being on call out is a bit different as its all about the job, but even when I'm training or just down there for something or other. The switch is in the off position. And that's what I love. They all ask me about machines and trees etc, but I can't answer them as my brain won't switch on, so I just tell them to call me another day. That's my pure down time.
  5. Not raining but the cloud is grey and the wind is getting up. Just waiting for the pager to go off. Lots of yachts out there today. Should be interesting.
  6. And you have a go at me when I get something like that in..........
  7. From what I've heard it's a nice country. Just be carefull eating at the markets. They have some very weird tastes. But the village on the water looks good to visit. Floating fishing villages. Ha long bay.
  8. I like the campers that are made to look rusty. There won't be a spot of rust on them. But would love to see the mot blokes face when you turn up to the garage with them.
  9. I was waiting for you to pipe up over the ryobi. to you. It wasn't my saw, and neither was that green thing that I had in earlier in the week. Ryobi pcn4545 I think. Horrible little thing. But I have found worse and got worse on the bench. A makita cut off saw. Need to replace the pot and piston. Don't even start on how to strip it down. I'm sure ther Weill be plenty of pictures going on the bench thread. Took me 20 mins just to get the carb out.
  10. Stihl 048av. One hell of a monster, and built to last. No plastic crap on that saw. Everything was metal. Parts are like rocking horse poo now. But what a saw. Oh and a small muffler mod just makes it even more of an animal in timber.
  11. Husky 550xp :001_tt2: must be the crappest for sure.
  12. There is a lot to be said about tuning in saws. Was talking to Eddie over this at the show. If the arborist is not in any way technical with a saw or two stroke engine they will not want to try tuning it. Especially with the worry of running it lean and seizing a saw, this will put people off tunning as it can destroy the saw and then the instant blame is on aspen. (Cough cough, dan) If they have a small clue over how to tune they will do it and be fine. So its not only the price of aspen but also the cost of the saw not running right and then having to send it to a dealer, then the dealer not knowing or caring about aspen so not tuning the saw back and just blaming the aspen and telling the user to go back to pump fuel. This will put the dealer off and the customer off. Then there is the odd occasion where the rubber parts disintegrate due to having pump fuel in them for so long, this again is an expense they would rather not have and then again its the not knowing how to do this and seeing your local dealer or a tech (cough cough again:lol:)
  13. I got aspen... I won the lottery last week. I did have aspen, but pump fuel is cheaper. I jest or course. No idea on stickers, they are just gimmicks and the end product talks for itself. Why become on of those companies that have stickers all over the place.
  14. Yeah. That's why it's not getting replaced been like it for a while and the pull cord is still all good. If the button is pushed the saw refuses to start unless its left for a bit. Don't push it and it fires on the third pull. Its staying like it is for now.
  15. Yeah even tho they say to not to drop the saw to start it, once you've been bitten your a bit reluctant to do it with the saw on the floor..... Should really get on and look at that decomp button. But damn there expensive new.
  16. So.004 cold and .006 hot on intake and .006 cold and .006 on exhaust. Not too hard to find out I guess.
  17. Good lord. Is everyone drinking the stuff now....... We all know you do Barrie but do you have to get everyone else drugged up aswell :001_tt2::lol::lol:
  18. Ok. That doesn't really help much need the numbers. This is why. Have a look. https://www.briggsandstratton.com/us/en/~/media/Frequently%20Asked%20Questions/Engine/PDFs/Engine%20Specifications%20Chart_ms3992.pdf
  19. Well blow me, on the parts diagrams there I so difference. Just the rear handle assembly. And the of switch is in a different place. Otherwise there the same guts.
  20. Have you got the engine details to hand? Model and or series?
  21. Hmm. Could be a valve issue. Could be a timing issue. The video isn't really clear about the noise. Can hear a bang and pop then it stops. Could be a build up of fuel in the system. Running a bit rich. But This normally bangs out exhaust.
  22. Oh the horror of my job this week. The air con broke in the digger. Its blowing hot air......had to have the door open as I was getting too hot.... Damn things.
  23. I do believe gardenkit was taking the mick....... The owner had said it was well looked after, not gardenkit
