  1. Yeah what he said. So just get on with it and cut it at the bottom...:laugh1:
  2. And he would probably end up with the same answers as on here. :laugh1:
  3. Sadly I don't own a go pro and rarely have a camera on me when grounding. Might have to catch the one that does and see if he has any videos of it. But then I don't have a youtube account either so all that will have to be done. Will see if I can get some video.
  4. It goes like stink. Just run it up the road, can't believe how fast it was. Of course its too old to have a restriction in it, and if it did it would have been a block bolted into the throttle housing that acts like a rev limiter. This is does not have. So starting Monday its getting stripped down, some welding to do with the exhaust, indicator to put weld back on at the bracket broke. And other than sanding and painting the parts to start with. Then it will be everything after to bring it back to a good looking machine. Not sure I'm going to chrome the exhaust again, might just give it some custom paint. The wheels are being chromed but that might just be it.
  5. I've managed to do that with lumps. Always get them to go exactly where I want them. Some even get in the truck if I can.
  6. Now I'm not sure..... Pointy side up and if you don't cut enough off you can't get the soldiers in to dip. And end up with shell on the toast, pointy side down would combat this, but the yolk is normally at the blunt end so cutting into it means you cut into the yolk...... Argh the decisions, I can't make my mind up... Damn you bob, damn you.
  7. Do it for the timber, its well worth it.
  8. Nice one chris. Hope some pennies went in there. Maybe a pint in person at some point aswell.
  9. Well. Funny you should say that. Its all there. There is a cover missing for the throttle in the gearbox side. A round cover, but I'm sure I can make one for it. Made worse things. And of course the side mirrors. But these are basic Honda threaded ones. Can get them down the road. It starts on second kick, starter isn't working, so going to strip it and see of its just gunked or not. But not worried over it as the kick start works perfectly. These bikes the kick start is on the gear lever, so if it doesn't quiet work it will throw the bike into gear and get stuck, the bike will then lurch forward. It just needs stripping down to framework, blasting and re painting, the wheels need re doing, and the seat needs re doing.
  10. I have seen the horror to can bring a hard working farm, also the aftermath it brings aswell. And still the constant struggle and worry that the testing also brings. I am neither for nor against the cull. I can see why people don't want it but also why they do. To be honest I don't really care... Maybe that wrong!
  11. Leave what?? What you do in your own home is up to you mate. Nothing in the workshop today. Been in a couple of meetings this morn over a new premises. And then was on a ride on for the afternoon cutting grass. I'm feeling good a positive at the moment. And yes it's a secret until it happens.
  12. Someone reminded me of this video a short while ago. I remember it from college all those years ago. Even if you know nothing about mechanics its a very good watch. And its not until the end that you get it all. Well I thought it was good anyway. [ame=http://m.youtube.com/watch?v=F40ZBDAG8-o]How Differential Gear works must see 100% - YouTube[/ame]
  13. Yeah, I did say that knowing my luck we would get to the important part and the pagers will go off. You live near by then?
  14. That chipper sounds really weak. What chipper is it? Looks like it could do with some spud treatment. Lmao.
  15. What bandit said. Some stihl ones can't, some strimmer ones (Kawasaki) can but its not the conventional way. So knowing what its on or off is a really good start. Anyone need a dentist???
  16. How ones he look any different to normal then  Second this
  17. To right, but I would of course ask for a donation to the RNLI.
  18. Revive my old thread. Progress at long last. Well sort of. One of the crew on the lifeboat jokingly said out loud "why don't you get married on the boat" she heard him of course. Come home today to a greeting of, "why don't we get married on the boat?, would be something different I suppose" I'm not too sure on the idea, she seems to have warmed to it.
  19. Keep them both, a back up is always good to have.
  20. To may find the bit that connects to the plug inside the boot isn't pierced into the ht lead properly. It will be jumping a gap inside and most of the power will transfer through the lead and earth out. If the bit isn't pierced into the ht lead properly it will give a good jolt on its way to earth.
  21. Now that's what I like to hear, a happy customer, or they just got bored of waiting for the contractor to finish the works. Next they will want a discount for waiting so long.
