No fair. We havnt had seas like that in god knows how long. Top notch there bud:thumbup1: We get the boring jobs. Just got back in again, motorboat with complete engine failure in the shipping lanes. Totals 26 jobs so far this year. But then I'm not sure most of our crew will hold there stomach in that sea, I know I wouldn't.
  2. Did I ever mention I love the 200t saw. This running problem could also be nothing to do with the carb. Remember my episode with one. Done everything expet measure the rings. It would run ok but the moment it got any heat round it it would stop. Replaced the piston and rings and its still going strong. His comp test was 158 cold. Another test and its below 150, pushing into the low comp range.
  3. Whoops. Sorry. Guess on how much you have to pay for the meteor piston doesn't it. wink wink.....
  4. Yah forgot that bit about aftermarket, price was on a meteor piston and aftermarket pot. But not the cheap Chinese plonk.
  5. A picture from last nights laning trip
  6. Cor. Look at the size of the one that got your nose........
  7. Well my bang tidy went on her first proper off road adventure tonight. For a bog standard landy she done very well. Kept up with the others who have god knows what lift and huge tyres. Mine sat perfect behind. A fantastic night. I have however learnt two things. One I need a sump guard, two I need to raise my tow bar. Had a couple of BANG moments from the axle, now have a nice dent in the front diff, and a few bangs form the tow ball at the back. Other than that a fantastic night out. So top job tomoz is to make up a sump guard.
  8. I would change the pipes first, but then while you are there you may aswell do the pump. Pipes can be funny things. Pull it out and give it a good twist around while looking for any cracks, some look fine but when you bend them the wrong way cracks will open up. A pressure test in the tank should give an idea of leaks.

:tongue_smilie:Well that brightened up an otherwise boring Monday. Went down the station for a cuppa earlier. Bored stupid and talking rubbish with a few lads down there when I turn around and spot something in the marina.. A women was cleaning her boat, but had a double take, she was topless. I had a moment and called out "Christ she's topless" should have seen how quick the other lads jumped form there chairs, would have thought the pagers had gone off. Then there was a mass brawl over getting hold of the two pairs of binocs in the station.:lol: Was a good end to a boring day:thumbup: And yes we should know better but come on....
  11. Its a husky. They are a bit renowned for leaking some oil after use. And all saws tend to allow what's left on the bar groove to drain away looking like a leak.. The important bit is it doesn't leak when put away. Is there a significant drop in chain oil to fuel ratio when being used?
  12. Yeah good vids. I wouldn't have thought 25t rope would have broken with that. Shows what type of snatch weight applies itself to a rope.
  13. The supply is there. Just have to source it. Gardenkit is normally good. Prices vary a lot I've found. If you go the ebay route. Its some and some. I don't have to hunt a lot for parts really as dont get much in, just one chainsaw and this cutoff saw this year, have got a battery skill saw to look at at some point, no power on motor, the power supply is there but the motor won't spin unless pressure us put on it from the back, so either loose connection or knackerd motor, motors are about 25 quid give or take a coupe, of quid. The pot and piston for the makita that I have found is, about 50 quid. That's a bit more than the stihl ts pot and piston.
  14. A guy thought his wife was cheating on him.So he waited for her to leave that night and jumped in a cab to follow her. By following her he found out she was working in a whorehouse. The guy says to the cabbie, "Wanna make a $ 100?" The cabbie says, "Sure, what do I have to do?". The guy replied that all the cabbie has to do was go inside the whorehouse and grab his wife and put her in the back of the cab and take them home. So the cabbie goes in. A couple of minutes later the whore house gets kicked open, and the cabbie is dragging this woman out who is kicking, biting, punching, and fighting all the way to the cab. The cabbie opens the door to the cab, throws the girl inside, and tells the man, "Here hold her!!" The man looks down at the girl and says to the cabbie, "THIS AIN'T MY WIFE". The cabbie replied, "I KNOW, IT'S MINE; I'M GOING BACK IN FOR YOURS!!".
  15. Hahah bf3, I'm now hooked on the battleloggers and battlefield friends coz of you dan. Lmao. Funniest thing I have ever watched on youtube.
  16. It will get hot as eddy has said. Check the cooling slots on the pull cord assembly first, ensure they are nice and clear. Remove this and give it a good clean out, then check the flywheel is all clear, followed by the cooling fins on the engine. Using a saw on its side a lot the slots and fins will get blocked up after time. So always worth a check and clean. If its getting too hot this could be a sign of saw running lean, but using it for milling it wouldn't take long to seize up and if you have done a lot then it would have by now. It is worth cleaning it out. But then its always how hot is hot.
  17. Mikita cut off saw getting to go ahead today. Started stripping it down ready for the new piston and barrel. It was out of compression so ordered a new one. On looking into the exhaust port the piston is badly scored, after removing he barrel the pot is also badly scored. My guess as it always is with builders tools is not enough oil in fuel. The ring is stuck fast into the groove.
  18. Or look at Oregon parts. What part of the shaft do you mean. The part on the head and you need an adaptor the size of the new head? One like these things. I'm sure this was covered a short while ago. Off my head I can't remember the size, but I can look tomoz. SQUARE ADAPTOR BOLT 10MM X 1.25 LH FEMALE STRIMMER HEAD | eBay
