  1. Battlefield 4 completed in two evenings.
  2. Yeah. It's when it stops leaking I have to worry :lol:
  3. Is the split pin in there?? And they are being done up enough. If I remember from doing mine it was tight until the wheel starts to jam and then 1/8th turn off.
  4. That's the bit I wasn't sure on. There are no wires on brake pads, so it not that. Will check the fluid level tomoz. It does appear to have a leak on the front passenger wheel, but wasn't sure if it was brake fluid or the hub leaking. Cheers fellas.

A couple from the other night.
  7. Ok. Will have a look. The light works fine when I pull the brake up and goes off when push down. No light when I wiggle or knock the lever. Have had the gearbox down to change the clutch arm recently. Just don't want it coming on while I'm driving down the road.
  8. Question. My parking brake light is flickering now and again. 200tdi 1990 disco. Is this a dodgy wire or sensor? Am I right in saying there is no sensors on the disc brakes only the handbrake? It is just flickering on then goes off. Not staying on. The handbrake is working fine. No issues there.

What he said. The choke bar will also break. It breaks on the white plastic part so need a new casing to replace it. But, a few people have used some welding wire and small holes to hold the bar in place. They are good little saws, and I reckon have a fair bit of grunt for there size.
  10. Ps3.. Xbox died so got a ps3

Yes, but we never made it to Folkestone harbour. Too busy at Dover. Will get some pics from the boat camera.
  12. Good. You just stay in that world then. :001_tt2: I only really buy games for the single player. Never buy just for online. If it's no good in campaign then it's going to be rubbish online. Looking forward to a bit of battlefield tomoz tho. Other half won't see me for a few hours, or my son who no doubt will be by my side telling me how I should be playing it :lol:
  13. Again, it's that time of blooming year again. No I haven't, and no I won't be able to until either my bday on the 15th or Xmas day...... And silky fox can just keep out again, winding me right up last year with his game on black ops 2......... So this year I'm going to buy battlefield 4 tomoz to keep me busy until I get cod...

The drains are the biggest cause of injury. Not seeing them under the water. If anyone has to walk in floods, please use a stick or broom handle and use it like a blind persons white stick. Feel you way. I was talking to someone not that long ago while fund raising and he was saying that even tho he would never need the rnli he has always donated. I asked why and his reply was that he has never and will never go on a ship in the sea. But it's not just the sea anymore, it's the floods that the rnli flood rescue team work in aswell as most normal stations. So if you ever think you will never need us, think about how much of a flood risk you are in.

Nor have, Humber, Great Yarmouth. And rams gate took a beating, Margate got waist deep. Yarmouth couldn't get there Atlantic out the shed as it floated off the trailer and was higher than the door. Stations have been hit badly compared to ours, but we are all still operational and can still go out, although some have generators to power the radios in the station. And being operational is the most important thing.

Well after a long night it looks like sleep will escape us once again. Another surge predicted for lunch today, 0.5m higher than last night, and another for midnight tonight. Containers floating around got secured last night, a car was also tied down after it started floating. Lorries have been pulled away, and there is all manner of rubbish floating around the channel from the beaches. We have now been warned not to touch anything without gloves on for the fear of bacteria from the flood waters. The station looks like a ww2 bunker covered with sand bags.
  17. Sunny, but cold. Got in at 2am from the lifeboat this morn and it was chilly then.

And our quay. This was as it started to rise. It then ended up a foot deep and the boathouse was 5inch deep. So now the drying is going to start. Dehumidifier sand mops at the ready.

So it's onto the other work by the rnli. Flood rescue service. Tonight many stations have been put on flood rescue service rather than sea rescue. This means they will be out with d class lifeboats, helping people who get trapped and also helping with sand bags. We have been put on a standby for the flood rescue although our only area is Folkestone seafront. Walmer are on sandwich along with rams gate. With the surge in the tide the levels will be from 0.6-1.2m above normal high spring tides. And although this doesn't sound much, when you have seen the high spring tide and it's only a few feet from the top of a pier it's a lot. All those in risk areas please use the bags and move anything of any value, both money and sentimental value, up higher and away from any low level where water may get to it. Stay safe people.
  21. Ok smart arse. Replaced wire and all working well. Hard to think about as there was continuaty there. The buzzer on the tester went off. Even stripped it down to check the inside. All good. Always learning. Three ms260s in today. And the first ride on in aswell. Also have to go out to a ride on as the owner can't get it started and it won't move either. So going out to that one. And looks like a Massey 35x to work on aswell. Leaking front crank seal. And the cylinders need re lining,
  22. Horrible. Cold and windy. And now it's raining. Also had a warning over the tide tonight aswell. It's on a spring tide and there is a surge behind it. The tide is suppose to be 7.6m but with a surge it will jump to 8.4m. A surge is caused by high pressure meeting and pushing water up. It then adds a surge and the tide is higher. With the winds aswell it will make for interesting boats. Last time this happened the lifeboat tore from its moorings and went for its own jolly around the marina along with a few others. This lead to a fare bit of damage to other boats and pontoons. So the lifeboat has been moved today to another mooring where it will be safer. But still waiting for a pager call saying it's gone for a joy ride again. Lol.
  23. Use it as a distraction saw. Leave it in plain site in the back with the good stuff inside. They will then nick that pile instead of the saws that are actually worth something....
  24. "Topper" a top handled chainsaw. Doesn't have to specify anything to do with climbing at all. They are just top handled saws.
  25. :blushing: Wounder what the top search result on google would be.:lol:
