  4. Just over 500 for me, been told a bloke not far from me has the 150 in his shop for £250! Wish I'd known sooner! Sent using Arbtalk Mobile App
  5. I have both:) t540 is a marvellous as a climbing saw fast cutting and looks sexy purrffffect for take downs! 150 is light delightfully accurate for pruning cuts and pretty powerful for something so small!(especially with a 5mm hole in the exhaust!) what kind of work do you do mainly take downs or prunes? I bought the 150 first as I didn't want a 201 and the 540 wasn't out yet! I'd say its ok for use in takedowns I did a fare few with it before I got the husky and it coped fine just know when to pull up a groundsaw! If budget is an issue I'd say get the 150 if not get 540, personally I'd say work late stop drinking for a month save money wherever you can and buy both! Sent using Arbtalk Mobile App

  7. I've had my t540 for a few weeks now and I love it! It runs really nice, plenty of power behind it. Compared to the 201's I've used I'd say its a better saw good to cut with and feels nice in the tree (not saying a 201 is bad just that its better) I've let one of the guys I subbie for use it up In the tree for a day, his verdict was "it feels just like a 200". having said that it may not last as long as a 200 as they where pretty solid! I have a few problems with the design of the saw, firstly the primer bulb, in other saws like the new stihl 150 the primer bulb is in a slight recess the 540 doesn't have this making it more vulnerable to getting ripped off. The air filter cover doesn't sit quite flush with the body of the saw theirs a slight gap all the way round it this means that more crap will get in and clog the air filter up, and that if someone less careful is fuelling the saw up they could quite easily soak the filer in petrol probably not good for it! All in all I'd say its a smashing saw and I love using it. Sent using Arbtalk Mobile App

    Heights

I've only been climbing a year, I'm doing pretty good over all but when I knock the top out of a nice big Lombardy or something of a similar size it still gives me the willies, best way I find to cope with it is double check my gear make sure my rope and strop are right were I want them and make sure those final cuts are perfect as soon as that tops gone its just a nice clean chog down:) Sent using Arbtalk Mobile App

  25. We have the Isuzu versions in work, pretty much the same van, over loading them is pretty easy to do but they seem to handle it pretty well, but it is very noticeable! The cab is ok for 2 but 3 is quite the squeeze handy for getting through tight spaces and the turning circle is pretty good as your sat over front wheels but be wary of big pot holes, they can lead to big "cab explosions" which can be nasty! The risk assessment folder has left me practically infertile on a few occasions!! Sent using Arbtalk Mobile App
