  1. i would love to NZ and Oz but i dont think im experienced enough to make it out their, but give a me a year or 2 and ill be out their! the plan is 2 years in the uk (not getting married, or becoming a dad) 2 years in oz (not getting married or becoming a dad), 1 year driving a hilux from capetown to england (not getting shot or kidnapped)
  2. well you know Mr Blair the best way to dissect and judge my work would be by employing me its allot easier than making judgements over the small pictures! cheers mattmoss any help is always appreciated
  3. the power lines where far far away, the picture makes them look close but collage would never let us so much a piss against a pylon let alone work over lines!
  4. not at that moment but it was before cutting, and what do you mean by chokered off infront? it was realy a very simple branch walk their was never a point when i thought i might slip or that a second anchor point was needed, but hay your the pro and im the trainee this is all educational and helpful for me:thumbup: thats ok, i was cool before the job was:cool:
  5. yer the cables where quite far away! i didnt know they where their till you mentioned them!tree was a collage job, massive butchering of a supposedly dangerous ash over a foot path! that branch im on is the last limb left except for the main stem which was dropped later so their where no other limbs to secondary anchor off and i was about 10 foot off the ground when my teacher told me just to nip out and take off a branch, so i walked out and took off the branch and their is a side strop on the harness for 2 anchor points! and i dont climb on a prusik but that was a horrible collage kit i was using, i suppose its not the best picture to have, but its the only one of me up a tree, so it was either use that or take one of my lunging over an 880 and i think that might of set off bells of a different kind
  6. well, you go to a show, say the arb show, get a tshirt, write on the front "trainee climber seeking full time employment" then stick your c.v. on the back, it nearly worked too!!! ill stick a picture up if i can figure out how to upload one off the phone!

  9. whats the point in having a landy when you wouldn't even drive it to graduation? looks tidy young man just stop wasting your money on toys and put yourself through cs41 so they can have a full course for me
  10. i gave up weed because i thought it was holding me back in collage, not only did my collage work improve but something truely amazing happened, i dont know if its made me more talkative, more focused or just smell better but now i can go on a night out and get laid pretty much every time, its amazing! you don't no what your missing!!! (dont drink too much though other wise this plan can backfire and you wake up getting spooned by king kongs big sister) leave recreational's for recreational time in work you need to have your thinking hat on!

  12. the wirral, merseyside. but im willing to travel anywhere for a trail week and move anywhere for a job so my current location dosnt matter to much and im slightly less annoying than jedwood with at least double the talent!
  13. that's right right for all i know i could be the best, all you need to do is give me the chance to hone my skills and gain invaluable experience under your watchful eye just finished a level 3 diploma in forestry and arb and reaseheath collage (merit over all, distinction in all practical work) and i am looking for a full time position as a trainee climber/2nd climber. while at collage i have obtained cs30, 31, 38 and 39 as well as becoming competent in pruning and dismantling operations through the experience i have gained in both the practical lessons and working as a sub contractor for 4 separate companies throughout the 2 years. as well as this work i also spent the summer of 2011 living in a Namibian safari park on the edge of the Kalahari desert where my job was to fell and remove the invasive south american prosopis trees. i have my own P.P.E. and climbing kit. i am willing to travel anywhere for a trail period, and relocate anywhere for work providing its for a full time employed position. i can obtain references from both employers and lectures if required im hard working, physically fit and very enthusiastic i just need the opportunity to expand my skills to their full potential if you would like a c.v or to discuss a trial period you can p.m. me on here or email me at [email protected] thanks for reading ed

  16. cracking thread!... but i have questions, can 3 strand rope be used for rigging? frjones sells 3 strand 16mm marlow its cheep as chips which would be perfect for me as im just finishing collage and starting to put some kit together. also if this is usable can i just stick it round a porter wrap? and you show a rigging plate with 3 slings on it in an earlier pic, do you realy need the plate their or can you just clip the krabs straight on to the bowline? sorry to slow the thread down its just in 2 years of collage we only had 1 day of rigging and i was the fella up the tree!
  17. just read this too my dad, he's a trained magistrate, he said that this should be enough information to prosecute! their may be other variable's at play but are you sure the police arnt pulling a fast one here? it may sound abit like something off the wire but if it was part of a big operation their may be bribes and string pulling going on? i may just be paranoid but ive been told on numerous occasions that all the police in my area are on a payrole, it was probably just drunken bravado but they do say theirs no smoke without fire! any way just food for thought! hope all kit comes home safe and sound!!
  18. cheers man, i new the brief was wrong, ive already had a sneaky peek at that thread it was allot of help!
  19. as part of a collage assignment i have to create identification keys for different types of pathogens that affect trees, easy! but im abit stuck on ganoderma adspersum! not because their isnt the information out their on it but because on my assignment brief it has its common name down as artists fungus and on researching that ive found that most people call Ganoderma applanatum artists fungus, this has got me slightly bamboozled, has my lecturer made a mistake on the brief? or is this a name that is given to both? speedy replies please as i have to hand in all assignments a week today(and their is allot:thumbdown: ) cheers ed
