    Lunacy!

In italy they cut firewood in relation to the lunar cycles? http://translate.googleusercontent.com/translate_c?hl=en&prev=/search%3Fq%3Dactive%2B39.39%2Bmotosega%26hl%3Den%26biw%3D980%26bih%3D501%26prmd%3Dimvns&rurl=translate.google.co.uk&sl=it&u=http://lamotosega.forumattivo.com/t892-taglio-secondo-il-lunario&usg=ALkJrhg-bV7Hz8dYbqdk8cBlXamxaLNLBg
  2. I always amazed by the huge vareity of them theres loads on alibaba were the ebay stuff is bought from i reckon mostly fake stihl Chainsaw Sthil-Chainsaw Sthil Manufacturers, Suppliers and Exporters on Alibaba.com
  3. Plz can I have some free woodchip also I need some to use as mulch round trees
  4. PK800 4WD Grillo Spa - Agrigarden Machines
  5. Usually a small tree, also known as mountain ash. Often grow on cliff faces in upland regions on the uk as only place sheep can't reach them so this can stunt growth. Whats the play about etc, that means rowan tree trunk size is important?
  6. Doesn't increasing the log size make the fire/stove less efficient though?
  7. Builders bags are great for hedge clippings & never seem too heavy for me to drag around or heft into a wheelbarrow even if you jump up & down on them to pack the stuff in. There great for grass mowings also.
  8. Would be interested if it was north west wales
  9. The current scientific consesus among the majority of climate scientists is that AGW is real phenomena, but then you can always find & quote material from the the small number of scientists who still dispute it etc. This misleads the general public into thinking its still in dispute. See the paragraph A GUIDE TO FACTS AND FICTIONS ABOUT CLIMATE CHANGE bit for what im trying to say House of Lords - Economic Affairs - Written Evidence
  10. Im suspicious also due to the price being under halve that, of the ones listed on ebay: CHAIN SAW KOMATSU ZENOAH GZ4500 45cc 3,1 Hp CHAINSAW | eBay Also this other saw they sell under the active brand also has a zenoah /husky label?! Chainsaw Active 41.41 - Ekosiarka.eu - Lawnmowers, Brushcutters, Chainsaws, Snow Throwers Active brand website link: home So is it genuine or not?
  11. Rare as hens teeth! Found them though 050201-12 Round Chainsaw Files - per dozen file. from Stanton Hope Didn't even realize files went that large
  12. Its owned by husky so I don't if that is good news for spares or means the brand will be phased out? Redmax i think is the same stuff under a different badge. Spares do often seem cheaper to import from abroad than get in the UK.
  13. Chainsaw Zenoah GZ4500 - Ekosiarka.eu - Lawnmowers, Brushcutters, Chainsaws, Snow Throwers GZ4500 for £228.45 including pp from poland Anygood?
  14. Some nice pictures in a thread on a german arb forum. Google Translate Seems they rate dolmar saws as much as stihl and husky in germany?
  15. Are the branches free for firewood?
  16. I have the cheaper makita 1800w one for cutting firewood its good for smaller stuff under say up to 8 inch but then it gets very slow for anything bigger. Oil tank has now developed a leak & its stopped oiling so dunno if its worth repairing trying to find spares? Oil tank is 200ml and needed filling often & have noticed most other brands seem have only a 100ml tank & the more powerful makita also has a smaller sized tank which i think would be annoying. A 2000w husky electric one is suppose to same power as a 2.8hp petrol saw according to there web site but im not sure thats true in reality? Thats more power in theory the 435 husky you mentioned in the other thread.
  17. Anyone know how an ECHO CS-420ES compares to the Husky 435.
  18. Fairly local to me Top hotel switches on to green revolution Do they the kiln dry it on site etc? Would be interesting to see there set up.
  19. There are actually serveral disadvantages as well as the advantages of raised beds but they seem complusory nowadays due too the fashion for them. I do have them but sometimes they annoy me. What type of soil have you got as it makes a difference on what stuff you need to add to improve it.
  20. Ive recently dug out a dozen stumps around that size with a pick axe & a winch etc took over a week though. And ruined a few packs of reciprocating saw blades but there are fairly cheap Its hard work.
  21. In US alot of stoves have Catalytic combustors i think to secondary burn the flue gas but they are just above the stove. Amazon.com: Catalytic combustors: Home & Kitchen Don't get why the UK never has them maybe they aren't that good they are pretty expensive & need repalcing servicing etc.
  22. Im not sure either Sessile or pedunculate oak i think. Will try and identify them but they all look slightly different not two distinct types.
  23. Was told by the person working in a local shop that oregon make two lvls of chain quality of the same chains (I think he was saying he had the quality ones rather than the cheapo ones). Any truth in this sounds lke a sales ploy to prevent people buying stuff cheaper online
  24. Germinated a load of acorns so now have approxiamately 300 hundred oak seedlings in pots of differing species. Trouble is don't I know what to do with them all. Some are turkey oaks I think (hairy stems) but its hard to tell, are thoose ones worthless as non native? A fair few also seem to have double trunks for some reason. There about 4inch tall now in 1 litre pots.
  25. Sounds eco snake oil. Sustainable Energy author Ireland (SEAI): FlueCube a Letter from the Inventor
