  4. Woohoo I passed A big thankyou to Sam who taught us and also to Neil who assessed us today, two really helpful and knowledgable guys It was a fantastic week and i have learnt loads

  6. Course booked for next week I,ve only ever cut firewood before so wish me luck please, feeling slightly nervous already! I am paying for the course myself and i'm hoping it is the first step to a change of career

  9. Some pics of a tree close to where I live. It's been split for several years but has recently opened up and one bough has split and is resting on the ground

  19. Acer,my 7yr old german shepherd
  20. My German Shepherd sleeps in the house, usually upstairs, but not on the bed or other furniture
  21. Rear nails wear down a lot quicker than front ones because of the angle the rear foot comes into contact with the ground.Dew claws can be a problem and are usually removed on working dogs. My GSD gets lots of exercise and hasn't needed his nails trimming. He only has one dew claw and he trims that himself lol I have had nails trimmed on other dogs by vets and sometimes they bleed, so they can get trimming wrong too
  22. Amazing tree and great photos too! Is Dutch Elm disease carried by a beetle? and if so does that timber need to be treated or disposed of in a certain way? (might sound like a daft question, but i'm learning lol)
