Sorry if I offended you. No need to be so aggressive, I find that is often a sign of a fragile ego. I also saw some of the saws they had at the race event on YouTube, they were running on alcohol and Nitro, crazy! never knew things like that even existed. So do you have any builder recomdations? I'll be in Vancouver British Columbia in a few weeks, I know some guys are in that area.

You should knock up silver eagle saws he’s known also as Canadian farm boy cracking  guy for stihl but saying that he’s had a Dolmar from me or walkers saw shop

  2. I’ve just sent you a reply to your pm

but there’s so many variants too this flywheel and coil combination and most wont work without the other as @billpierce knows

there’s been updates to part numbers in various years and before Makita and Dolmar

aligned there models  there are numerous options

for instance dcs 500 5000 5001 5020 5121 5030 5031 and ps 500 510 5000 5100 5105 and some had easy starter some had normal start so two different coil again

now Dolmar and Makita have got the EA and PS models the same specs only changed the colour teal and red

I looked into these, pretty sure that the new dolmar has the same cutting gear as the old robin, which is really what made them the hedgecutter they are. I still have a Robin, and now I have retired I hope it will last me for all the hedge cutting I am ever likely to do!

    Speak to @shavey

    Thanks Steve

yes it has the Fuji Robin cutting gear the two larger models are the same style as your trimmer.  Makita purchased Fuji Robin 10yrs ago and it was consolidated into the brand

4-5yrs ago , the hedge trimmers have got that Robin influence throughout

also Robin brushcutters where available until earlier this year with the prefix Makita RBC

    but now Dolmar / Makita don’t make a 2-stroke stropimmer , brushcutter only MM4

I rung makita customer services today and give them a few model numbers.

They said they dont make an equivalent model to the two models I quoted.

I was hoping just to pick up a similar makita

They are all made in the same environment  below is a cross reference between

    Dolmar and makita

    dolmar Ht-2360D -  Makita Eh-5000w

    dolmar ht-2375d -  Makita eh-7500w

    dolmar ht-2475 -   Makita eh-7500s

  5. I automatically thought it was the pre filter on the left side of the saw

but all sorted now , I will put one on my order and let you know when it’s in if you get sorted I will keep this one in stock no problem

below is the part number 329 on the drawing

I saw Randy on the OPE mentioning he had to send sumfin to our side of the world and wondered what it might be. Didja get some custom profiled square chain as well? Looking forward to the vids.

It was a Christmas build a couple of years ago , I didn’t get a loop of square ground with

this saw but I did get a loop of square for this ps-7300 in the video below
