I have both the 9010 and the 79xx both on D009 mounts the 79 has the wizz the 90 has the grunt, it's  a bit "horses for courses", if the 90 comes out with the 36" bar they know I mean to do some damage!

That’ll be collateral damage after them pair been out burning fuel

I can assure you it IS a Dolmar. They've only recently stopped listing it on their site. Probably because the smaller 7900 is out performing it (power-£££)... so sales mean it's not worth continuing with.

It is a very old school bruiser of a saw.

EDIT: On Makita chainsaws, the DCS literally stands for Dolmar Power Saw

Yes your right  it stands for Dolmar Chain Saw

  5. Hopefully later this week I will  get around to doing a video and

you can see what the Saw will do

I personally think 28” 32” 36 are the three sizes  I’ve got customers running these three sizes

I would definitely be interested in a piston if the price isn't silly. It's been a good saw, although to be honest I use it less now I've got a 461. Taken down a few trees with it though, thought a pic would be nice.

Very nice photo thanks for posting that one up

You need to buy that 6800 on eBay (then repaint it Orange ?). It's collection only and it's about 5-6hr from me... £46 currently is ridiculous!!

It’s already  gone sold before the end of the auction

I've got a few pictures of her in bits and definitely put some up of her rebuilt.

Might even try and figure out how to get a video of her running ?

The more I look at those 2 on eBay the more tempted I get!!

Yes it would be good too see some photos and videos

Where did you find a 6800 cylinder? I thought they were all used up? I have a Dolmar 6000i which I bought from shavey, could ideally do with a piston but if I could get a bigger cylinder I'd put it on...

Hello Dan god too hear from you  I should be able to get a meteor piston for the 6000i

there where a few available in Germany back in the summer

    ?

Yeah I'm watching it too ?

Did you see the DCS6000 which has gone unsold, twice! Asking a £250 start on it... it looked just as tidy as that 6800. It's funny they've both came up at same time.

But I have great news about my own 6800. As I said in PM i had found some old new stock parts - I have now sourced all the parts ?

Brand new piston, pot and rings.

New bearings, seals and gaskets. Full carb strip and rebuild.

Hoping to get at her this coming weekend and start a clean and rebuild (if I can remember how it all goes together after laying in bits for 3 years!!). I'm getting excited!!

Hello Iam so happy you can get that saw back together there so strong and on bigger bars even better  make sure and post her up on here

yes I saw that 6000i it’ll probably come around again
