  7. Dolmar 309 cut off saw have been very good machines over the years I've had this one 10yrs I use it for concrete , metal grinding and cutting roots when needed Even though it's an older model most aftermarket parts are available

I've sold three Dolmar versions too customers and have one myself and they are good machines very economical mine is run on aspen and they've all been trouble free and if your religious with the engine oil changes at regular intervals as the sump only holds 80ml Reports from people say they aren't quite as powerful as the stihl equivalent but the engine speed probably wouldn't be the same but they will do the job and are quiet and vibes are good

  16. He's a great guy buckin Billie Ray smith he loves his mccullch's he's put up some great videos on YouTube he'll certainly cheer you up with his enthusiasm for old saws Definitely worth a watch if anyone has seen his videos

    I've got a 5105 here that's been driven over and is only good as parts , so I've got a good cylinder and a new or used piston already And I can get that saw back on the road again Cheers andrew

    Not good news Ian if you want too send it down too me I will Pressure and vac test it and go from there do you think the cylinder is salvageable or If you wanna do it yourself I can send you up a new piston but again possible air leak might be cause of problem But Iam here too help sort out your saw
