If you could get permission to walk the central reservation of the A27 near Chichester you could lift hundreds of self seeded Ash . Not possible I know but it seems a shame when they mow them all down after the effort they have made .

I planted 3 Oaks that I had grown in pots . They were about waist high . All doing well until some twat with a tractor and flail rashered them off to the ground . Wanker !

Is that your house its next to or the neighbors ? If its the neighbors he may have a point , if its yours you planted it ( albeit in memory of a family member ) too close to your own house .
