  5. Keep it down and tucked it . Watch for the feet as he plants the for the upper cut but keep your head down coz the right cross is next , then you counter punch and step away .
  6. The thing here is air flow . If you were to have covered them tight , say with a tarp tight to them they will " sweat " , get moldy and rot . Best left somewhere windy if not put in the dry . There is a big difference between " green " wood and seasoned wood that has got wet from the rain . The latter will dry out fast when put in the log store . You did the right thing . Thats what I do with mine as I have no where to store cord till I need it .
  7. :Well first let me say you are a provocative baalamb ...Stihl V Husky That aside I think the Stihl saws you mention are in the "pro " saw range and the Husqvarnas in the " semi " pro range . So perhaps a try of the equivalent pro husky is in order . Its well worth considering Echo and Dolmar Some good saws there that arnt complicated by A/T and so forth . Old school Tech with old school reliability . Check em out .
  8. The cut face on Alder reddens very quickly . Check the pics above .
  9. I would go 2nd hand Husky then send it to spud . Thats as good if not better than any warranty
  10. I run one of the " free " email accounts on mine , Mail . com works fine . Fire fox is my default browser as well .
  11. As an aside ....Bearing in mind there are cases of identical machines , some having endless problems and others totally fault free , that there may be a problem with the QC department ?

    One other bit of advice .....Stove only , not open fire . Spits and pops like fire works !

    Its ether full of water or full of air . Burns fast when the latter .

    Any knob jockeys out there that would leave a running saw with their finger on the gas for that long deserves all they get . just me .
