  1. Sorry Andrew . That is a total bummer and very close to home , as you know . Hope you get it sorted with the insurance mate . Will keep an eye out . Get those serial numbers posted .
  2. We use to DREAM of living in a shoe box ! Used to get half an hour before before we went to bed , lick road clean with tongue , pay mill owner for permission to come to work and when we got home our Dad would thrash us to sleep with a broken bottle .....If we were lucky .
  3. I don't grease nose sprockets any more . Think they last longer now . Grease makes any grit and dirt around stick to it and act like grinding paste .
  4. Lack of compression . As it warms up the clearances open up dropping compression . Probably due to the perished fuel line letting in more air causing it to run lean it the past .
  5. Yep it will wind off the thread . Alternatively remove the axle and slide the wheel out . This is assuming what you say in the title is correct and its the wheel that is buckled and not the threaded shaft . If its the shaft then angle grinder / disk cutter .
  6. Yea you godda live life on the wild side now and the ...
  7. Ouch ! . Yea ok . I did the course and it was very interesting . THE most expensive tea and biccies in West Sussex but cheaper than the fine and no points .
  8. Sorry Eggs I remember now Mrs Eggs is on the PC ? Sorry bud no offence meant . Have had dealing with Retired Colonel Farqua-Smyth -----of the PC . " turn that ruddy thing off or I will report you to the police ".......
  9. The " parish council " volunteers don't have any powers ( I think ) but " Sussex Safer Roads " are not plod but have the camera vans on the bridges over the A27/M27 . I had to do the speed awareness corse coz of them .
  10. All Husqvarna A/T saws have in built hour meters . In fact it can tell you how long it has been at full revs and how long it has been at idle .
  11. They get lent out some times as demo saws . 20 hrs is easily achievable .
  12. I would say it increases its life span as it is working more efficiently . My 346 was , I think , the first one Spud did ( apart from his own saw ) back in 1807 and its still going strong .
  13. They port well also .....
  14. My 560 is not stock and it stays indoors for long periods now as I am semi retired . Run on Aspen 4 mixed with Red Line 2t oil it starts every time and runs all day without any problems when I do use it . 2011 saw fettled by Petemate on here .
  15. Like the old " grey furgie "

    Fake or not?

I think its genuine from the pics . Need to look at the casting of the pot . Should say Mahle ( spelling )

    Fake or not?

They are very close now in silhouette . Things that give it away are if the AV springs are shiny rather than oil blacked , the front handle grip is black rather than grey and the trigger , fuel and oil caps are black rather than grey . Also if its Chinese it will say run at 25:1 coz the engine is completely different .
