  1. Looks like a hole punctured in your oil tank ( rectangular shape ) or am I imagining it ?
  2. Does in run and cut ( I think it runs now ) If so its not worn out . Why do you think its worn out ?
  3. Dont know . Is it listed for your saw ? I thought most Stihl ground saws were .063 gauge but don't quote me on that . Best put a vernier or mic over the drive links of your chain first .
  4. Only if its for your Stihl . Mount stud size , oiler hole position , that sorta thing . Be silly to get the right gauge and pitch only to find the oiler hole does not line up or it wont fit over the bar studs .
  5. Looks a bit twisty but maybe Field Maple ?
  6. No . I would not do it either . Was just a suggestion for this one so you could get some use out of it .
  7. No . You get a proper tank vent and replace the screw with the vent that should be there . That is if it is a screw . If its the proper tank vent then leave it as it is .
  8. Its common sense as i see it . Hands ether side of the blade . If in doubt use a push stick . Keep the ground around it clear of trip hazards and crack on .
  9. If you keep running it with no vent , and it has sealed , it will eventually stop oiling as the vacuum increases .
  10. I remember not long ago when the FC had to bollock them selves for a clear fell of hundreds of cubic meters of timber which they did not get a felling license from them selves for the said sight . Made me chuckle .......
  11. Yes , but , If the proper breather was in place it would not . It acts like a one way valve allowing air in (so the tank does not pull a vacuum ) but no oil out .
  12. I don't . My Oregon or Stihl chains go strait on with an 8 pin . Just a suggestion IF the op was using an 8 pin . Not sure that he is though .....
  13. Are you using an 8 pin ? If so fit a 7 pin and run it for a bit till its done the initial "stretch " and go back to the 8 pin .
  14. He did my 372 ( amongst others ) and its a loony !
  15. Only the usual thieves getting easy access to your kit .
  16. Is all the above legal at the moment then ?
  17. I love a happy ending .
  18. Your not that simple ....you fixed it
  19. Just needs the " Benny Hill " music ......
