With that open wound I think its not too happy but , Willow is one hell of a trier and quite hard to kill . It could go on like that for years looking crap . You could even cut it all down to a stump and it will sprout again .

I think you have to accept its a " bitsa " from everybody's comments . Does not mean it won't work though .

I'm thinking its a bitsa . Maybe a 240 with perhaps a 260 air filter housing . I just googled images of both and they look similar in isolation . However it looks like the air filter housing on yours is slightly taller giving a miss match to the cylinder cover . I'm a Husqvarna man so only a guess .

I don't know A from a bulls arse compared to the other guys but , my instinct tells me nip out that whippy leader down to just above the lower growth where the trunk is thicker . Scrape away the gravel from the root area so they can breath , maybe put a mulch on . I know it effectively halves the height but it might thicken it up a tad .
