  8. With the pump fuel and stabilizer you still get all the solvents and ethanol . You don't with any of the alkylate fuels .
  9. I'd heard you would skin a turd for a farthing Egger 😊
  10. Depends on timber diameter and power head capacity . Quick rule of thumb is take engine size and divide by 3 will give max bar lenght in inches . E.G. 60cc saw divide by 3 = 20inch bar max .
  11. With the free hand " regular file " you are doing it wrong . It should be slightly upward pressure , Ideally with 1/5th of the file dameter ABOVE the top plate . This way you are sharpening the cutting edge . You can the drop the file down and take out the gullets when needed . Don't forget to take down the rakers ( depth gauges ) with a flat file from time to time or you will just make dust . So your fancy Stihl folder is probably holding the file at the correct height .

  19. Every time you refill wipe the area around the filler before you open it .
  20. Mmmm .
  21. Plouging back in is a recognized way of putting nutrients back in the soil but at the same time going against the current trend of not ploughing , rather direct drilling so as not to release carbon back into the atmosphere .
  22. Anything compromising the root structure ? If so it might come over itself as Beech do from time to time .
  23. Yes . It comes with a small " top handled " shovel . Wood burns best on a bed of ash so best to leave some in the bottom , usually glowing embers anyway .
