  1. They were back in the day . If you read the book " Sometimes a great notion " or , watch the film of the book entitled " Never give an inch " you will see Paul Newman at the top of a big stick with a Mac 895 or similar . They are just home owner stuff now . The big 125 are sought after now . They had the cart engine in them . Not huge revs but unbeatable torque .
  2. How the hell you are supposed to wipe your tradesman's entrance with pasta god only knows .
  3. Yep that would be good . Quite happy to be wrong mate .
  4. Mick , I actually don't believe that . The others , with no climber on them are upright . Just me . ?
  5. Should start the PLM movement .
  6. Stubby

    Echo 70cc+

Its a chain cover made from magnesium . just a wild shot ...
  7. Was it not just the climbers additional weight ?
  8. Could well have been made in the same factory as the OEM one on your " semi pro/home owner " saw . Edit .. Sorry not meant to diss the level of saw just pointing out that the manufacturing costs will have been kept down compared with , say a 550Xp
  9. I understood that Steve and was not having a pop at you bud . Just expressing my frustration . The whole situation is bonkers . If as you say those that did not stockpile before are doing it now with the others that did , and will again , there will be an even bigger/longer shortage . ... Damm , I need a poo .....
  10. Could well be but it is unnecessary . As Eggs says just shop as normal .
  11. Pissed down at about 4:00 am till 6:00 am now intermittent showers .
  12. Yes that fired and sounded normal to me . I would have shut the choke off immediately after that and expect it to run after the next couple of pulls .
  13. I find Meindl slightly narrow but can were them . I also have Pfanner and find them comfortable fit wise if a little stiff .
  14. I am surprised you have Leylandii at the bottom of the list . Always found it to be good . Agree with Larch and DF at the top .
  15. The only thing that stood out for me was number 6 . Out board mix is different . Something to do with the oil being different because of the water cooling on an out board . I would not use out board mix in a chainsaw . Other than that a very comprehensive test . I would have sent it to spud by no 8sih ! ☺️
  16. Could not tell it from S/D ! so tight and professional .
  17. They are stonking saws . I still got one .
  18. I Andrew . Nice to meet you . Hope you enjoy the forum . There are some good guys on here and some useful information/help in all manner of subjects .
  19. It seems to have worked though Eggs mate , clearly the wheel is still on. ? Can we have a different answer ? ?
