I remember when my old Dad fell over indoors ( 96 and frail so could not move him ) I had to wait 7 hours for an ambulance they were that stretched .Not their fault , just had to prioritize calls . -

Cloggers from Australia ? I have a pair . I am a 34 waist but went for their " medium " which is a 37 thinking I could use a belt if too big ,but , thier 37 seems nearer a 34 so all good .

Just went out with the dog ( still dark 05:15 ) and its 1 degree but the bitter NE wind makes it feel a lot less . Lit the stove !

I think back in the day most estates had one .

There is one in a steep bank/hill in the grounds of West Dean estate . ( it was on the shoot and the drive was called " the ice box " ) Across the road is a place called the warren . It is now a few estate cottages but used to be used to breed rabbits for food . The meat was hung in the " ice box " .
