  1. It could be when the wind is driving at the ridge it bounces back at the stack causing the blow back . I am sure if you extended it to above the ridge it would be ok . .
  2. I would sooner have the Laylandii . The oak takes so long to season and burns real slow .
  3. Well coppie , you could be onto something . When I switched it off yesterday it was still displaying the symptoms I described above . I have just driven to Midhurst and back for no reason other than to do some more DPF clearing and it was spot on right from the start . It seems to have , over night , regained all of its 237 dobbins . The DPF light is still on but it performed faultlessly ! It is having an oil change and filter this week so I will ask him to clear all the codes then . I will adopt a different style of driving . Rather than squeaky pinch on the mpg I will leave it in one or maybe 2 gears lower for a given speed than I would of done in my old D40 nav . Tried a bit of this just now and to be honest it did not seem to make much difference to the mpg reading . Fingers crossed .
  4. Ok I just " search engined " it and it seems on older vehicles this does sometimes work but on newer stuff ( mine is 2021 ) it does nothing other than make it that you have to reset things like the pre set radio stations and the clock and in some cases potentially damage stuff . This from Google .
  5. Is that a possibility ? I duuno The DPF light is still on . I suppose I need someone with a Launch X431 Pro code reader .
  6. No . It revs freely in 1st and 2nd but tugs back in the taller gears .
  7. So twice I had explained that they are suckers and twice I have said keep mowing / cutting them off and they will give up FFS !

He means led ? Shooting them ?
  9. Its not been ground out yet . That is flush cut to the ground at the expense of a few chains I recon .
  10. Suckers . Keep mowing them off they will quit eventually . Oh and by the way your Mum will go to prison ! 😀
  11. That will be suckers . Just keep mowing them off , they will give up in the end .
  12. From the little bit I can see it may have been a conifer of some sort . If it was then it won't recover from that ! If it was a willow there is an out side chance it would coppice ( sprout from the stump ) but doubtful . A stump grinder will get rid of whats in the photo .
  13. Easy Egger . No biggie , you are amongst friends bud .
  14. The roots wont suddenly go away just because the tree has been taken down . You need some one in with a stump grinder if you want the stump to be gone . The roots will be dead but still there .
  15. A forced regen is what I thought I was doing ? There is a place near me that will take it off , put it in a machine and blast it through with out damaging it . Takes about 20 mins to clean so, an hour or two to remove , clean and replace ?
  16. Its the same where I am Steve . Those little seeds even get in my bed . Its kinda normal for me now .
  17. So , Today I drove from Chichester to Arundel and back then on to Southhampton air port roundabout . Then back to Chi then between Chi and Emsworth on the A 27 3 times . Used a about a third of a tank of fuel and was driving for about 2 hours . There was an improvement , it will rev above 4K in 1st and 2nd but tugs back in the other gears . you can feather the throttle in 6th to eventually get almost 90 m/h but the DPF light has not yet gone out . It might have cleared if I persisted but I got board . Might get it taken off and cleaned in a machiene . Then add some JLM DPF regen plus in every tank full . This slightely raises the exhaust temp to help with keeping the DPF clear . Its designed especially for twats like me that don't go any where !
  18. I find " Deer Hunter " coats very good . I have 3 . One for autumnal weather , one for the south of England " winter " and one for winter at the North poll . This last one gets worn once very 5 years or so . Fine if you are standing still but take a step or two and you are sweating light bulbs .
